Poor Bally, I was so confident he would kick it. Great mark, terrible kick.

Yeah - pretty confident that he would get it. He's usually a pretty safe shot at goal.

I know the outcome was very disappointing, and the time is over for being happy with honourable losses. But we can't fault the endeavour and to nearly match the best team in the comp at their home ground is not to be sniffed at.

Leo, Willo and Goodesy were fantastic and I remain as impressed by the efforts of the kids as I was at half time. All of them made a good contribution - and Nog is beginning to demonstrate he is a very good mark.

I agree it's bad form, but this isn't a company, it is a web board, everyone's opinion is equal to everyone elses, I don't think anyone has a "place" or anyone is better than anyone here, But anyway....

I feel a bit numb. Hope this doesn't have a negative effect on them, Freo looked great today even though Carlton was the opposition. Will be interesting next week to see how they back up.

Disappointing to lose, but definately not a disappointing effort. Ball's situation was like a bad dream - he'll always remember his 150th for one reason only... (pretty unfair really, considering he had a fair game before that)

Still, I enjoyed that everyone got a bit worked up in the last quarter - made it pretty interesting. I was impressed by the efforts of most: McVeigh and Bevan had nice debuts, Ablett seems to improve each game and Goodes was his usual fantastic self (although he should have kicked that goal early in the 1st quarter). Thought Davis was the best I've seen him, and Willo was as prominent as ever. The Crouch v Akermanis match-up was a fascinating one, but I reckon Aker came out on top (kudos to Crouch for a stellar effort though).

It sure got the heart pumping. Good effort boys.

Saddington better lift his intensity to be more like Leo Barry.
Pike got the ball at half forward late in the 3rd quarter and barry was all over him. Why doesn't Saddington show that same desperation. When Saddington was on pike thats when we lost the game IMO.

I'm not bothered that it was someone with 10 posts who got all nippy... I am offended that anyone thinks they have the right to dictate the quantity and content of posts.

Supernova - you'll learn the more you post that it's not about cheap shots. You have more fun when you remember that we're all on the same side.

                    That's all. I'm over it.

Doesn't that remind you of a previous swan (#3) all class but just not the desperation. He does need to lift. But he is not alone I thought a lot of the senior swans went missing tonite (like Maxfield) He made a couple of bad errors when he didn't even have the ball.

McVeigh and Bevan looked pretty good, especially McVeigh (how classy is he?)

But the player who impressed me most was Fosdike. His awareness was superb tonight and he seemed alot more composed running out of a pack than usual.

LRT has also turned on some good form and he also seems alot more composed.

He did have a good game, he can be a bit slow sometimes which is frustrating.

Yeah mate, I know... reading my initial response though, I thought perhaps it could be construed as having a dig at Supernova for 'not knowing his/her place'. When in actual fact, I would have replied exactly the same way if it was you, or Des, or Lizz, or NMW who posted it.

Meh... not worth worrying about. Copped worse.
