Call me old fashioned but I call that lying. [/B]

Who is not being clear now?

Referring to Nick Davis comments perhaps?

    Here's a reminder if so:

"He ain't that talented - he's behind plenty of players on our list for talent"

"Can't see it - the more I think about it the sillier it sounds."

You nevertheless remain a charming and intellectual man, with superb written skills! [/B][/QUOTE]

As I keep saying you could not lie straight in bed, you are the most gutless equivicator I've ever come across.

You do not even now have the intestinal fortitude to admit that you have lied in this thread. Instead more equivocation, presented as though it were rational argument. I've thought for a few months that you were dishonest, so in many ways I'm relieved.

I doubt you can tell what honesty actually is.

      More than poorly.

Steve with this @@@@less sniper if Saddington played well, he'd put in another equivocation that he'd picked where Saddington had needed to improve and make statements like "he's clearly improved in those areas". Whichever way it goes, he'd be on that side.

I still can't believe the self-rightous, arrogant, holier-than-thou attitude here.

I would have been quite happy to agree to disagree, but Reggi seems to prefer abuse.

I've been called a liar over and over again, yet he doesn't point out where.

I've been called "low filth", "gutless", "a @@@@less sniper", "a gutless sniper", as lacking "intestinal fortitude", a "gutless equivocator", "dishonest", "a liar"...

My points on Saddington have been made enough:
        - he has not performed well at CHB
        - his decision making is poor regarding marking and punching
        - he is easily outbodied
        - he does not appear that quick
        - he is thus struggling in a key defensive position
        - he is still a good player and another position should be tried

And note, plenty of other people have made similar points on Saddington.

As I said before, I wasn't laughing at Saddington's misfortune. Considering I had already commented that he was struggling, why would I laugh as if this article was news to me. I already kew he was struggling in the position he was playing. However, what I laughed at was the people who had said there was nothing wrong with his game on the weekend or at all. They had attempted to riducle or belittle those commenting negative on Saddington... and yet they continue to do so.

As for Bolton, I said he was struggling and really needed to improve. He did. I said I didn't think he would become a top player, which he isn't yet. However, I commented after last year that he had performed much better than I expected.

With Goodes, I commented at the time when he was struggling and was going to be dropped that he needed to concentrate and get his head around playing. He was wasting his talent and if he didn't improve we may need to trade him to get the best value out of him and see him benefit from a new environment (like Stafford and plenty of others). Like Bolton, I also commented that he had improved and played much better than I expected.

Sure, I was wrong, as I noted about 6 months ago, on these two guys in that they improved far more than I expected in such a short time. However, I was not wrong in that both were underperforming and needed to improve a lot.

There is nothing wrong with saying someone is underperforming and needs to improve. It's hardly equivocal or @@@@less. It's pretty normal in football, or indeed all sporting, circles. What I find annoying is the abuse you receive if you criticise a player - there is never any retraction of that.

However, who am I to disagree with a couple of members of the Council of Elders who are obviously never wrong and have the perfect right to abuse or belittle anyone as they see fit. Oh, I genuflect in your direction and pray that one day I can be just a little more worthy of you sublime and holy ones. T'were that it was so, but your huge intellects and disarming charm are just too overwhelming...

Please, I'm begging you both to get over it. No one other than you two cares who is right/wrong, you're just making yourselves look like a couple of ten-year olds. FFS, keep the sniping private.

I am quite happy to debate football and after a time if people want to disagree then they can go their own way. This is the normal state of affairs. I'd note I'm not the one who continues to be personal and abusive.

As for finding the thread boring, you can always choose not to read it.

I also find boring the unwarranted personal attacks, and people using other threads to make unrelated pro-Saddington comments or not so subtle comments about people who have negative views on Saddington.

It's interesting how people want it dropped, yet it still pops up randomly in other threads.

My endless bickering? I was just stating a view - Reggi is the one being rude and trying to pick a fight. Whenever this issue is discussed, some people become very emotive, defensive and abusive.

Alright - let's wait 18 months and see whether Saddington is playing well as a key defender, playing well in another position, or not playing at all.

If he does end up as a CHB we'll just add another one to the list.

If he doesn't we'll exercise the 'we never said he'd be a champion CHB, just that he was unfairly maligned at the time, so we still aren't wrong' loophole.

                    And everyone will be happy!

The reason it seems like all this banter is directed at you alone is that you are the one replying. For that I apologise. Reggi must have gone out for some fresh air to clear his mind.

He could play possibley as a lose man down back or as a link man through the midfield these are options I would like to see him tried more often in.

                                No this guy's a @@@@less liar.

I couldn't in the scheme of things care too much about Saddington.

As this thread clearly displays the person with the strong views on that is Steve. I have had some disagreements on the issue, and believe a player has been undeservedly singled out, that didn't deserve it.

But clearly the views of both of us get mixed up, most of the time it is water of a duck's back

I have never in all of my posting on the net come across, such a filthy lying weasel.

Even when it is obvious to him that he lies, he in no way points out that he has made a mistake, but continues to equivocate and rationalise to somehow justify his statements. Cannot help himself, and clearly a person of very very low character.

So it's clear the things that bring me to this are

1 Only low filth would take so much enjoyment out of such misfortune of others

2 His constant lying and gutlessness that he persists with even when it is pointed out
