Plus I am a 'stuck up eastie' (my best friends description of me today when talking about this issue lol) from whom it normally takes a 10 minute walk to get home from the SCG!! I have too long to think about our losses on the way home from Homebush!
Homebush rocks with the big crowds, however I would have to agree with you that the trip home after a loss does provide too much time to think about it. Especially when at the station and you have opposition supporters really giving it to you.

BTW what did KB have to say about the flags on TV?

As for atmosphere, with the drum last year the Sydney chant sounded awesome.

On another note, I doubt very much we would have got 33,000 at the SCG for the same match and agree that perhaps Brisbane should be the 3rd team for the Homebush blockbusters.

Totally agree. Our game last night definately sucked big time.

Another long trip home on the train with the masses feeling let down by the team's effort.

Yeah agree - I would actually prefer the contract we have just to be Collingwood/Essendon, plus the Wizard Cup and any finals we make...

To say that to sit behind the goals at ground level leaves you no chance to have an idea of whats going on is wrong. Wonder how many bandwagon feral Verminwood supporters will make the trip us this year, particularly with their poor form to date?

NOT the Wizard Cup!!!!! Playing at Telstra is supposed to be so that newbies can go & watch. Anyone who goes to watch a Wizard match anywhere (but ESPECIALLY there with 1500 people in a stadium which holds 80k!) would be turned off footy for LIFE. Which is why I didn't go to Wizard Cup. Its a practice match. Only. It should be played out in the bush.

Sitting behind the goals does suck. You only see 2 dimensional play. Maybe you are used to sitting behind the goals. But the times i have been there i have missed 3/4 of what happened in the game.

Also maybe he speaks for a majority who have the same opinions as his. Last year in both the pies game and lions game i was abused by fellow supporters.

People who sit behind you folk at SA prob want to watch the game and not have the cheer squad in their direct vision as opposed to what is going on the field.

Can't say I disagree with the sentiment - but unless we play in Cairns or somewhere, Telstra is the only decent ground in Sydney available and I think it is contracted to have a Wizard match each year for a while anyway.

I think your right Damien, I'm sure I read somewhere that part of the contract with SA states we must play Wizard Cup matches there.

                      Deja vous???

                      Been at this post before??

Telstra makes for a better brand of football due to the more open spaces, but exposed our mid-filed on an off night. Has more space to run and attack, so better football, but we lost.... get over it and stop blaming the stadium for poor skill.

Would rather watch the style of football last night than the Geelong game.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

On Telstra Stadium, I think our record there overall is 4-4 (not counting Wizard cup). We've lost our last 3 there now - last team we beat there was the Bombers in '03.

poor form or not, they'll be here. Being the only game of the weekend, they will be salivating at the thought of beating us up here again. Lets hope for a different result to last time..
