We don't deserve to be rated a finals side after that crap. T lose to RIchmond in that fashion is unforgivable.
Why is there no option in the Swans game plan to KICK IT LONG. Mucking around with it in the back half on a wet day is plain STUPID. Barry Hall is going to beat his opponent more times than not so why not give him the opportunity to do so.
As much as I respect Health James he was copping a toweling today so where is the plan B?? Bolton for example.
3 goals after quarter time is an abysmal joke but sums up how bad we were today.
Our first touches were always a fumble. We dropped about 20 chest marks including crucial ones in defence.
Goodsey needs to start manning up. He's playing is if he's a superstar but must be accountable.
3-4 and a trip to Perth next week. The likes of Cousins, Judd will be licking their lips at ripping apart our midfield which is simply not up to scratch.
Fosdike does good things but always ruins in with a bad kick at the ned of a passage of play. That's how he gets all his possessions - he had 3 down one wing today before kicking it straight to a Richmond player. He had plenty of company doing that today though.
    Woeful.

Agree 110% on point 1 - I was screaming for them to kick the ball all day, but no, they had to be short, indirect and overuse the ball.

As for Heath, Craig Bolton started on Richo and was well beaten. From where I was sitting, Heath did a fair job.

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Heath/B2 needed some help just like Campbell/Ottens dropped back to help R.Hall by plugging the gaps.

The only positive I can take out of the game are some of my preview comments were accurate (it's a dad state of affairs when I have to resort to this to find something positive).

They had players back filling the hole and our F50 entries were poor and often chopped off.

We often did not have anyone back helping out our defenders.

I think putting Bolton on Richo to start with was an enormous coaching mistake. He did well last year, but Richo is much bigger this year and Bolton should not take the big guys if we have alternatives. James is far better suited and generally did okay (relative to everyone else on the field for us that is).

Kirk was tagged - did a good job on Johnson but found it difficult to get the ball himself.

I can't believe we didn't take advantage of Ray Hall on Barry Hall!!!

Heath is more or less excused.

What did Richo get? 6 or 7? Either way, Jamesy kept him to a goal a quarter when a) our midfield sucked and b) most of Richmond's attacking structure was one-dimensional, focused on Richo.

One of the better ones. Why isn't there any faith in him though? Second choice on Richo, presumedly second choice on Lloyd... Despite the fact he's been ok to very good in every game in which he's had meaningful game time... there doesn't seem to be a lot of confidence in him, which is disappointing.

Bazza dropped a couple of marks he would usually swallow, in the 2nd quarter. Although a few of the guys could take a leaf out of his book for hardness at the ball and intensity of effort. At least with Baz you know you are getting 100% all the time

One of the worst games for a long time - and against Richmond on our home ground. Why wasn't Richardson double-tagged? Why do we never kick long? It was the Swans vs Richo today, tactics should have been changed at half time. Roos might have to cease being so nice and give a few of the senior players a blast. I agree with NWB, it looks like we will be just another side struggling to make the eight. We stayed to the end, but I'd already given up by half time.

The only positive I can take from this game is that I don't think we can get much worse...

Watch them prove me wrong next week

I'm just so mad. I can't remember ever feeling this raw after a bloody football game. I saw Andrew Erickson walking around as I was leaving, and I just felt this urge to give him a spray and ask him (nicely) to pass it on to the players. I didn't actually do it, but you know...

I know the players would be really disappointed, but I feel like that's not enough. I just want to punch them all or something, knock some sense into them.

                      Grrrr....

On a side note, Erickson is a very tall boy.

It seems as though this is the only option because the majority of our 'leadership group' is down on form. Could you imagine David Parkin or Rodney Eade coming out onto the ground at 3 qtr time today - eyes bulging, the veins in the forehead pulsing and letting rip?

This is an irrelevant, pointless comment. The players are professional sportsmen, who get extremely well paid to devote 100 % of there time to playing footy.
It isnt a hobby for them it is there profession and as such they should be open to criticism and/or praise as the situation dictates.

If Roosy makes any motherhood statements or takes positives from that game at the press conference then we are officially gone.

That crap just isn't acceptable. Richmond are now equal with us on the ladder and we are 16 points from 1st and 8 points from 6th.

Unless we improve we will be looking at priority picks 'cos we won't win any games playing the way we are.
