My love for Jared Crouch has been put on hold for a while (for obvious reasons).
Well I love both Jared and Jude, we couldn't have done it without both of them
An hour on and my heart has finally stopped racing, those last few minutes were definitely not good for my health, and what happened to the Swans supporter, did they give up, all i could hear on tele was the Hawthorn chant.
CHER - Who has two types of blood cells "RED ones and WHITE ones"
Well, he'd done virtually nothing else all game (no different to most of his games this year), so nailing an open goal in the clear from 40m out is definitely an outstanding effort by him!!

It's seriously hard to chant with any unison when your heart is racing at a million miles an hour...but believe me, the crowd went absolutely nuts when B1 kicked his goal and at the final siren.
There seemed to be quite a bit of Hawthorn support there today, but I never really noticed them chanting or anything... although one guy I did notice was sitting kind of near us had and nice long go at Danny Jacobs after Crouch's goal, it was very, very funny.
I'm on top of the world at the moment - I don't really care how we played at the moment, considering we won.
Though Buchanan had a ripper game, and was the only player from either team who managed a clearance during that period near the end of the 4th where it looked like we were going to lose. Kennelly and Maxfield seem to be on the rise, and O'Keefe was looking good up forward - doesn't seem to drop many marks.
And they had kick-to-kick! The day could hardly have gotten better!

I thought Buchanan was fantastic today, he went chasing in the forward line, and laid some great tackles, but the most heartening thing was that he managed to clear the ball from some stoppages.

Having a player who can clear from stoppages regularly is pure gold. I hope Buchy works on this part of the game so he can be even more lethal near packs.

Jude had a great last quarter, it felt like he was not going to let them lose the game. And once he paid attention and kicked the winning goal like I told him too , all was much better, although if the siren had sounded a tad sooner, it would have saved us a few anxious minutes.
Very happy to see Amon's efforts and the reward for those.
Go Swans, this was an important win, they'd forgotten what it's like to win and this should turn the corner. GO SWANS.

Must be where the TV mics were because that was the liudest a Sydney crowd has been this year for me. As mentioned previously, the roar when Jude kicked that goal was huge, everyone on their feet.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Lase time I saw the location of an effects mike in a telecast game, the mikes were behind the goals. I would bet that the effects mike for that game was next to the Hawthorn cheer squad. Dermott Brereton, a Hawthorn director, was a TV commentator for the game, and there's a good chance he had some say in the location of the effects mike.
Perhaps they should use several mikes?

Yeah it was so noisy in Bay 28 after Jude kicked that goal. I think some people tried to get the Syyyyyddnnneyyy chant going but it was drowned out by the "Sydney *clapclapclap*" from all over the stadium! Great atmosphere today - I had guessed that the 25K crowd may have been close to 30K.

The TV gave you an accurate picture , I'm sorry to say.
Monopoly was right that the crowd went mental when Jude kicked the winner : but then , that is a typical reaction in a tight game.
After B1s goal we were chanting "Siiirrreeennn...Siiiirrreeennn", which shows you can still have a bit of fun even when you're heart's racing.
Far too many became quiet when things looked dodgy for us in the last quarter. That , too , is a sadly typical reaction among too many Swans supporters.(I except the passionate RWO-onliners littered amongst the theatre-goers in Bay 7 , naturally.)
I turned around to the fans (or should that be audience??) and reproved them for keeping their mouths shut - and they still kept 'em shut.If they formed a footy team , they'd call it Snorethorn.
Fortunately, some of us with big gobs and no fear of embarrassment (something I've had more than my share of in life , so I'm impervious to it ) got some chanting started and didn't let the vocal Hawks' fans have it all their own way.
Did that affect the result ? Probably not - but IMO if a supporter doesn't cheer during the match , he forgoes the right to boo the team at the end if they lose.

They must have had a mic on the Hawks fans then as the whole ground was going off for Sydney. When Jude goaled the whole 25000 were on their feet (even the Hawks fan in front of me - but I think he was rushing out to be sick.)
