I would like to officially award...

    Ryan O'keefe with our most improved player award ;

and Paul Bevan with our best first year player...

I believe those two are already home and hosed for the awards - lets just give it to them now!

absolute shoe-ins at this stage! Keep up the commitment guys and you both will definitely reap the rewards of the fruits of your labours. (the last little bit of that last sentence was quite poetic I thought. get it? reap - labours. fruits - rewards. hummm)
If u don't believe me, I will knock your bloody teeth out and not pay you a cent.

      Agree, but....

If Buchanan gets some more game time over the coming months he might rival O'Keefe. He is certainly putting in the effort even tho the results aren't always there for him.

Hmm, I don't think either Bazza or Magic shone today.

Agree, but over the season, I think that Bazza is our clear standout.

Neither shone but both did their bit. In fact, had O'Loughlin's kicking for goal matched the rest of his game we'd probably be raving about him as the matchwinner - given that he is still finding his feet again after a lengthy lay-off it was great to see a reminder of how well he reads the ball in the air and positions his body.

And while Bazza was quieter than he has been, he still took a couple of very strong, dare I say bustling, marks. This seems to be a new dimension he has added to his game this year and it's sure welcome to see!

Des made mention at the aftermatch that before Rd 9, Bazza was leading the league in contested marks. Go back 2 years and Baz was really struggling with this part of his game. Add to his sure-handedness his agility, clean hands when the ball is below the knees and foot skills, he is now not only a key forward in terms of scoring, but also is creating a lot more opportunities for teammates.

                  I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Mick was marking everything today (9) which was not bad for a day where the delivery into 45 wasn't the best.

When Mick, gets his eye back in, expect to see a deadlier Swans forward line.

When we get Davo and Schneiderman back...look out Saints!

I highly doubt that. We are going to get smashed by the Saints.

OK, our forwards have been more accurate, but in terms of setting up opportunities, they were very good. Dermot rated Baz as one of the BOG for us along with Leaping, and I wouldn't argue. And I thought the sight of Magic marking and reading the play was very encouraging. It's a good return to the game.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

That's positive. Got something else planned for the afternoon of June 6?

Does that mean Leo is going to bounce it every step from now on - instead of every second one? Sigh.

I thought O'Loughlin was quite good considering his extended layoffs. Kicking was a bit wayward and sometimes lost his feet when he shouldn't have, but was a great target and was very clever with a number of his marks. Looking forward to him regaining match fitness.

                              Hall was good again!!
