Grant was jostling Hall from the side/behind.
Hall feigned to throw his elbow back into Grant's guts.
    Grant dived.

IF true, Barry will be fine.
If that is true then he will go!!!

    Grant that is, for acting!!!!!

They have in the past allowed footage from amateur video makers to be aired at the tribunal. It seemed though from the comments on the footy show yesterday morning that nothing was captured on down the ground video or camera angles.

Nothing in it. Just a sudden bout of gastro. I saw Grant tucking into some SCG tucker prior to the match. Doesn't affect us, as we've built up immunity to it over the years (and Grant hasn't been in Sydney for at least a couple of seasons). Can be devastating for the unititiated though. 4-8 weeks I reckon.

Barry will get off due to lack of evidence.

Apparently Chris usually brings his own 4 and 20s (rubbish pies) with him from Melbourne but they got damaged in his toiletries bag in transit.

He was forced to eat our Villes (magic pies) and 4 of them in 2 hours just don't sit right in a Mexican's guts!

I spoke to a bulldogs suporter at work and she said she saw them jostling and then saw Grant diving. She doesn't think any contact was made to his head...he was just acting to get the free. Hopefully Grant confirms this when he is questioned!!

                  Monday 5:13pm

Just saw a 10 news flash that says:

"Grant tells how he was floored behind play"

                  Surely not!

I just watched the news item. It said that the tribunal had spoken to Grant and Bazza.

It then went on to discuss how much we need Bazza for this Sunday. So no news. Of course they'd have to speak to them both but nothing to suggest Grant said he was floored.

                      Just another media beat-up.

                      "Grant was reluctant to comment".

                      Hall will be fine

But they did say Hall had been cited for striking.

Looks like he will get off if the investigation is based solely on the recollections of Barry and Grant.
If he does get off he will be lucky and I hope he revises his notes from his anger management classes. It was obvious he was going to do something as his frustration was palpable.
I seem to recall there used to be cameras behind the goals which captured incidences off the ball.Glad they are gone.

Did Grant squeal? That is the only conclusion you can draw from him being charged.I doubt Barry gave himself up.

as the pictures in the tele today showed. The closest Umpire was looking towards the centre square where the play was and missed it. The goal umpire had Smith and I can't remember which Swan as well as Grant blocking his view of Hall. The emergency Ump was out pretty quickly, but he would've been named as the person who saw the incident if it was him wouldn't he?

My question is unless an offical actually saw the incident how can he be charged let alone found guilty?

What I don't understand then is why was the boundary umpire not watching Grant and Hall if there was obviously jostling going on? The ball was at the other end, and surely they look at what goes on behind play otherwise they wouldn't be doing their job. On the replay of the match the umpire was watching Grant, but the picture in the Tele has him looking away.
