    injuriesInjuries

Yeah yeah, we all know there were lots of injuries going into today's game. But can we start working out here what injuries occured DURING the game that we may have to deal with for the Pies in two weeks?

Fossie - knee, out for 3-4 weeks?
    Buchanan - hamstring?
    Williams - groin?
Tiger - the TV reported one but he lifted his game afterwards so I hope not.

    Anyone else?

Just his head I think. With a two week break he should be fine.

and didn't we all breath a sigh of relief when we saw just a head clash on the replay? lol it's not often you breath a sigh of relief when someone is injured and taken from the ground in a bad way as crouch was!

            Crouch will be fine,
            1) he has 2 weeks to recover.
            2) He will not want to break his game streak.
            3) It was only his head (he is a tough cookie)

I think if the game was in the balance he might've actually gone back out there. But they probably decided that given the list of injuries and th unfortunate nature of the game, he neede a rest.

              My guesstimates:

Crouch is a definite to play against Collingwood.

Ball, Barry, Doyle, Davis, Williams and O'Loughlin are a good chance to play.

Schauble and Schneider may play (but probably won't).

              Buchanan's 3-4 weeks.

              Fosdike's 4-6 weeks.

              Saddington's gone for the season.

Good summary of where we are with injuries right now:

"The good news is, as bad as things are, Andrew Schauble and Adam Schneider will be right for the game after Collingwood, to play Carlton,"

And this is how the Hun sees us:

                  Sydney
                  Adam Schneider (hamstring) 2
                  Andrew Schauble (hamstring) 2
                  Tim Schmidt (hamstring) 1
                  Amon Buchanan (hamstring) test
                  Nic Fosdike (knee) 4-6
                  Michael O'Loughlin (knee) test
                  Jason Ball (hamstring) test
                  Leo Barry (ankle) test
                  Stephen Doyle (hamstring) test
                  Jared Crouch (concussion) available
                  Nick Malceski (knee) season
                  Jarrad Sundqvist (knee) season
                  Jason Saddington (knee) season
                  Paul Williams (hip) available
                  Rowan Warfe (buttock) available

Buchanan was described as a strain so maybe not a tear. That'd be great news. I'd love to see Buchanan and Schneider on the field together.

And now the perennial 3 weeks is down to two. (But they won't be playing until the Blues that is three weeks away . . .)

Today's tele mentions Roos saying "Schneider is a slight chance for the Collingwood game"

Fingers crossed. Although he'd be a bit under done.
