I'm trying to talk Hubby into a vic trip this year, so we can go to the markets to replace his dryzabone that was stollen and maybe get in a game too.

He's not buying it at the moment though. Lat time I was there was 2002 (my god has it been that long )
I just love the Vic Markets. You can get quite a bit of perfectly good Vivid supporters apparal from one particular stall. It is stuff you can't buy any more. Caps, beanies, scarves, polos, jackets, some really good stuff, and at fairly decent prices. Give it a look!

You can also buy those big long Victorian-style footy scarves for $6 at heaps of the stalls. I can't find my big long one at the moment, so may need to buy another. Dunno if they have the ones that say "Sydney" then "Swans" these days, but if I get time I'll definitely have a squizz.

Considering the club up here are charging an outrageous $28 for a scarf that will in no way keep you warmer on those cold footy nights, it is definitely a good investment, especially to a new supporter.

I bought a kick arse leather vest :-[ for $75. In Sydney something like that would have cost $250 plus. I got it cheaper because I didn't want a hidden compartment to store my gun in.

PS:- Have a Drizebone that I never wear that I'd very happily get rid of if that helps.

Ditto. I still owe Gemma for the cost of the sticks too, don't I?

Relax Brycey, it will be a crack up. Lots of talking about footy, a kick to kick here and there. And a bit of fun on the cheap.

Got my GA tickets from http://www.Ticketek.com today. $25 each sounds a tad much for GA tickets, don't you think? Especially when you can get into the Phone Dome or G for $16 GA.

Just you be at my house BEFORE 3:30am please. Will call you at 3am, so have your stuff packed the night before hey!

Thanks Nico, Problem is I can't get there till between 1:30 and 2:00. I will decide on Sat if I will go. I would prefer a seat coz of the kids, but I might have to leave them at home!!

Man I'm jealous! Road trips are awesome.

Have a great time at the game. I would normally go, but work constraints aren't allowing it. Damn.

I'm planning on driving to the Richmond or Melbourne game later in the year. Or maybe both

If it is OK by you, and those who are starting to drive to matches, why don't we start setting up a network of supporters so that if people are driving and wouldn't a spare supporter to share the journey/petrol expenses/or maybe even the driving. Not only does it get more Swans supporters to the games down south, but it gets more RWOers to get to know each other.

And make the trip for the driver heaps more fun AND affordable! We are paying $50 each in petrol money, return. But considering I bought the tickets and have be getting money from Boofhead and Bryce, I actually only have to pay Pete $25, and will have $50 spending money myself!!!

I guess you'd translate it as "Car Pooling" 'Mitfahrgelegenheit' in German; that sort of thing is huge amongst German football fans.

Got my ticket. Paid $38 for it throught Ticketek, but it's under cover with a reserved seat and (hopefully) a good view so it should be worth it.

Legends stand (upper), bay 13, row PP.

That sounds like a damn good idea.

It's a winner financially and would be heaps of fun.

                        Count me in for Mitfahrgelegenheit
