    Kangaroos v Swans in LA

Not sure if this has already been discussed, but I just found this article and was wondering if anyone had heard anything more about it:

The Kangaroos are again pushing to play a match in Los Angeles next year in a bid to spread the game's global appeal. The Roos have declared their interest in playing the Swans in a likely exhibition game at the famed UCLA campus on Australia Day.

Surely they are talking off season?

We would be crazy to 16 hours & back for a game....

It seems Verminwood are now wanting to get in on the LA action:

I'm told San Diego Zoo are always after Australian animals that are surplus requirements and need a new home.

Ain't been any Koala Bears since 1997.

The Californians are getting restless, you know!!! Like totally ungnarly, dudes!

May we start the "ROOS NEW HOME IN CALIFORNIA" campaign right here!

He might need something a tad more seaworthy than a Commodore.

Just got off the plane, and I can tell you that there are somthing like 30 000 Australians in sothern california alone, with most of those in LA.
I have been to fairly large gatheringings for the live broadcasts of the Grand final over here, hundreds of people here and in NYC.
I should imagine that if it is publicized properly over here, IE through the expats, they could get 10 000 plus to the game.
