We have a real chance this year, as we did in 96-98, but we don't seem to be grasping it strongly enough.

Hawthorn is barely struggling to be an AFL side - have a look at how poorly they have performed this year and all we could manage was a desperate 1 pt victory.
    [B]

Barely - especially when it was a % boosting opportunity.

They may be last year grand finalists, but they've only won 5 games this year and they were missing Tarrant.

Without Fevola and Whitnall they're definitely bottom 4 - have a look at today's game.

Exactly - we played like crap after half time when the opportunity was there to boost percentage. It may have been man-on-man, but again it was from an ordinary side.

Yep, at least we're winning and hopefully, as I noted in my match report after the Carlton game, we are beginning to build toward the end of the season. I haven't really seen a lot of signs yet, but we will get a good idea in the coming weeks.

If u don't believe me, I will knock your bloody teeth out and not pay you a cent.

GoSwannies, I think your original post may be spot on. Also someone mentioned that the Adelaide match seemed like a rehearsal for the Cats game. I thought this as well, that Roosie was up to something...and said so to the family after the game -- basically that it looked like the Swannies were taking the Adelaide game after half time as a trial for cutting down and bottling up the free-running better teams we will meet in the next few weeks...
      Well thought out GoSwannies!!!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
