Gee.. I hope you're right Robbie. Because THAT is do-able (up until Brisbane), if we can get some fitness and form up in the run into the finals!

I tried to do mine, but the page I am using seems to be suggesting Richmond beat Melbourne last weekend, which is putting Melbourne out of the top 4 for me at the end of the year.

Mase's prediction is the worst possible. We get a sudden death final in Perth!.

We are bottom 4 for sure, so all I can hope for is a home final or one in Melbourne.

Win that, and I'd be content with this year.

(Will the Lee household survive this?)

Nice touch Robbie, organising for Port to miss their home final despite winning their QF.

Only one possible problem - does the TD rule apply in week 2? If so the Saints will undoubtedly play there. But if the TD rule is only week 1 then the "G" it will be (to pay back the game owed from last year)

                    Same.

In some ways though, I'd like to see us play a final in Melbourne in the first round, rather than at home. I think finals experience at the MCG would be very useful for next year.

In any case we could win 4 out of our last 5, with the Demons match being a bit of an upset. But seeing as the game is at the Dome I can see us upseting the Dees.

Still got to think positive NMW.

Well with the rules as they are and with the Lions finishing first (on my ladder) and winning its QF, it would mean Port would miss out on a home Prelim Final.

                        No, only week one thankfully.

                          PORT .....72
                          LIONS.....68
                          ST KILDA.64
                          MELB.......64

                          FREO.......48
                          WCE........48

If we can beat Brisbane, is it possible Geelong might beat St Kilda at SS and give Port the chance to end the season on top. Port have 4 sure wins and a good chance against Melb in SA.

                            Hmmmmmm,

Looks like if we can't get 6th we 8th would be preferrable, want to try to avoid that trip to Perth.

Agreed that a final in Meb. would be a good thing

                              Ideally, we would want:

                              - To finish 6th and host freo first up.
Otherwise, finish 5th and host a melb team, or finish 7th or 8th and play a melbourne team

                              - Have Brisbane and Port finish 1-2, and both win first finals.
That way, in the 2nd week of the finals we will play a melbourne team in melbourne
And "hopefully", qualify for the preliminary which has to be played at the MCG, making it a neutral game against Port or Brisbane.
