Been my feelings about McGlone too, yet some people think simple possession counts mean alot. They don't.

Why not give Thewlis more gametime instead of 2 minutes here and there. Its what Eade did with Fosdike and we know how he ended up.

Jude Bolton was hopeless tonight and Doyle always giving frees away at the wrong time in the opposition 50.
Ball cannot give up - he has to play on. Help if we have Doyle only next year.
Think Meiklejohn is hurt in the reserves - limped off.

We all just have to stop using the adjectives as described in this thread - they played a great 3/4's and the last quarter was played well by the opposition. We were not to gain the points tonight.

They shot some fantastic goals and some good passages of play - but the opposition outplayed us.
We are not that bad as described above.
      Love those Swans

Yes we are. Good teams don't give up games like that.

But we didn't play a great 3/4's. The only thing that had us so far in front was the Roos inaccuracy. When they finally got their kicking boots on, they showed us up like they could have done the whole night. Apart from our accuracy, there was little to cheer about in our first 3/4's.

My comment was a bit of tongue in cheek. I just plucked McGlone out as an example. Anyone will do as far as I am concerned. Start McVeigh and leave Bolton to stew on the bench.

Bring Williams back with 2 broken legs, he's got to be better than Bolton.

I had to feel for Jarrad there, I thought he had been having a decent game and he was really put under a lot of pressure with that one stupid play. Annoyingly people around me were groaning at McVeigh and not at the real culprit.

I thought the song they played at the end of the coverage was quite apt tonight: Jet's "Look What You've Done". Especially the chorus:

                Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Sums up the night for me.

I don't think that ANY Sydney player should be an automatic pick for next week against the demons, They played absolutely crap in that last quarter and if they can't get that right there is no point them even hoping of playing in september

No, we played a crap game - the whole game. We maybe put together one good quarter of football all game. Too many handballs, very poor kicking, bad decision making all over the ground. We should of been up by 60 at 3/4 time at least.

Jude Bolton is one very ordinary individual. Woeful last qtr, and absolutely no excuses for it.

combined the lions and swans games reflect where we are as a team..... capable of great footy but cluttered with crap!

i was upset for 10 minutes... but life goes on.... i still love the team and love supporting them and im sure everyone here does too... they will have awesome wins again... there will be more of these crappy losses again sadly..

but hopefully they can one day win a premiership.. before i die at least

i wouldnt single out jude for the last quarter.. they were all rubbish..

id say hall was excused a bit because what can he do without the ball near him!

i think the whole team needs to put the loss behind them as do all supporters before they end up stressed out in hospital!
Theres not much left to say

2ue this morning - Gibbs - said Jason Ball was on the bench next to Wally when he went down - I do think we need to look at that and think - fair go to many who have posted on this thread re Ball - how do you think he felt he knew Wally had died and had to get on and play - McVeigh was next to Ball.

Have a bit of heart and stop drop kicking on the team.

No way can you say we played like crap - the first three quarters were good - good shots on goal etc.
Our team was affected as word spread - ball did his best option at the time and obviously adrenalin was pumping through him - he was also a pall bearer for his wife's funeral five weeks previously - very sad she passed away with cancer.

I would like to see the f....... word dropped no need for it - certainly doesn't describe the thread you were trying to head up.

The Swans will find it really hard to go forward as they are all distraught.
They all attended Clare's funeral as they think so highly of Wally.
Now they have lost him. Roos didn't even do a press conference.

Lay off the team for at least a week.
I am disappointed at all the knockers - it makes it worse.
Instead email the club maybe and send some messages of sympathy to the club and his family.
                                Love those Swans
