Hopefully Tarzan (Neitz - me look like Tarzan, me play like Jane) will get done for wrestling and get a couple of weeks.

The return of Darren Jolly can only be good for the Swans.

CHF - shouldn't you be at the snow.

I love going to games against Melbourne, if nothing more than to laugh at their pathetic supporters.

I was in here the week before the game earlier in the season and I seem to remember a few of you were not giving us a chance then either.

                lets see.....

In your post you have bagged Neitz who has a huge bag of goals against his name this season and kicked a few against you last time......

You have intimated that Jolly is a dud......

Called up an out of date sterotype regarding Melbourne supporters and snow visits....

And call the Melbourne supporters pathetic....

As I have said, Neitz is 3rd on the goal kicking list.

Jolly is a good young rucking prospect that I think would be welcome at any league club.

I think you will find a lot of committed Melbourne supporters making a hell of a lot of noise to help their team along on Saturday night. (I will refrain from making any relocation jokes here)

As for us being pathetic and the object of your amusement, All I can do is point to the ladder and the results so far this season, in particular the result up in Sydney earlier this year.

I will be there cheering for the Dees... will you be there raising your voice for the swannies?

                  CHF,
Having Bizzell back for the remainder of the season is a big plus for Melbourne.Very good player.I was wondering what you think the matchups will be on our forwards.I presume Nicholson will take Barry Hall,Rivers on O'Keefe, Bizzell on O'Loughlin or the other way around.Bizzell does like to zone off around half back and set up play so maybe O'Keefe?
Fortunately for us we have Schauble to mark Neitz who made a bit of a mess of our backs last game without him.Neitz looks like Tarzan plays like Tarzan imo.

To be honest, Bizzell has not yet got back to his very best. I hope he will regain his form over the next couple of weeks and be right there come round 22.

Matchups on your forwards will be interesting.

Nicholson will get Hall and I think that will be a good battle. Nicholson is under rated by a majority of people, including a lot of Melbourne supporters. He will contest everything and only be caught out if the delivery from the midfield does not give him a chance.

Rivers/O'Loughlin.... I think this will be a highlight.

Broadbridge/O'Keefe... think we will se this tomorrow night with Wheatley a possibility to spend some time on him.

Whelan/Williams.... Whelan has been great for us this season playing on the smaller faster forwards and I reckon he will get this job.

Brown/ Buchanan... Brown has given us a hell of a lot of drive out of the back line and will hurt whoever he plays on on the turnover.

Bizzell/Nicks... Would be interesting to see how this would pan out.

Besides the players mentioned you may see Bell, Yze and Bruce rotated through defence depending on matchups and wins and losses.

How do yolu see the matchups on our attack?

Don't know about the rest of the side, but Schauble should man up on Neitz. Without Schaubs last time around Neitz was able to win the game for the Dees in round 5 with his six goals.

If Schaubs has a good game Neitz could even be held goalless but that's unlikely. A more realistic expectation is for Neitz to be held to about 3 goals, providing our midfield do their job.

Neitz may be 3rd on the goalkicking tally, but Bazza is fifth. Bazza would be a few goals better off had the umpires applied the rules to all his opponents this season. Neitz is in the same mould, he also gets jibbed by the umps a bit.

I am much better asking questions than giving answers.
Schauble on Neitz is the obvious one.I can't see Goodes marking Miller as he would be too quick so possibly Kennelly or C Bolton.Although Goodes is named in the backs he may not play there all game.If he does he might take Holland and run off him at every opportunity.Leo Barry might take Robertson. If Kennelly doesn't take Miller then he might go to Green when he plays forward.
I wonder if Yze might be man marked wherever he plays as he accumulates so many posessions.Ablett might tag him as he has been playing defensive midfielder on some prime movers of late.
I hope we play through Yze's man as he is not paticularly accountable.
Don't take these matchups too seriously as I am usually way off.

Agree with you about the umps.... Both Hall and Neitz fet done by them because neither of them play for frees unlike 'Diver' who presently leads the gaol kicking.

As you say, so much of the success of the defence relies on the job the midfield does.

Last week, Melbourne could have saved airfare and not bothered to send the midfield over to Adelaide for all the use they were. They were murdered and the defence was trying to repell an avalance of ball...

We are moving the ball well and seem to have an edge in pace - early days yet though!
