But then Doyley is finding form late in the season, and we didn't have Bevan playing last year.

I am tipping another PF appearance, but we will probably meet Port (and most likely at home again). This time around we wont be so lucky.

If by some shocking turn of events (Port wouldn't lose their first final AGAIN ) we can get through to the GF it would be against the reigning premiers, and unlike footyhead (who is firming as a troll whose not a Sydney supporter at all) I believe we have what it takes to get them on the big day.

Getting to the big one will be a tough ask, winning 3 finals in a row, at least 2 of them away from home. Mathematically, our odds are not that great. But it will be fun watching, provided we don't lose our first final. Unfortunately, it's likely to be against an in-form West Coast at the MCG.

Agree, Mcphee beat all once in the time he was on him. and that was from a crappy kick, that didn't even make the F50.

McPhee has been one of Dons best defenders this yr, so I thought the matche up might be OK. But it worked in our favour.

i would of thought too money hungry clubs hogging the victorian market are closer to killing the afl than a club developing it in a rugby state

It's very easy for some less-informed supporters to wheel out some ready made cliches at times like this. There are a couple of Essendon fans who visit these boards who have had some very inteligent things to say about the game, and about AFL issues generally. If a few narrow-minded short-sighted idiots want to rabbit on about stuff they clearly know nothing about, or can't understand through their impossibly biased eyes, then it's not worth the trouble.

Fortunately these guys aren't running the AFL!
