Nick Davis - Head Case!

I now know about his injury, however what did everyone think about Nick's only kick being an ineffective Torrie?

Did he know at that point that he wasn't moving well and tried too hard to make something of it?

Was he just an undisciplined git who took the selfish route?

Does Nicky ever think before he acts?

If you were in Roosy's chair, would you have dragged him for not doing the team thing?

The man is a very talented footballer and has more talent in his little toe than say Brett Kirk has all together, but these 2 guys are poles apart when it comes to attitude and achievement.

The funny thing with Nick, is that Roosy could have an honest chat with him tomorrow night and Nick will have a blinder on Friday...heres hoping so!

Man, we NEED more players like Davis in our side. The whole Swans team is filled with utterly fantastic team players. Even O'Loughlin needs to be more selfish in his play at times. Having one or two forwards/midfielders who just back themselves at every opportunity is as useful in a team as a player that just does all the 1%ers or sacrifices their game in a tagging role.

I assume you mean torpie? I think he was too far out even for a good torpie and he's kicked them nearly 70 metres before. What intrigues me though are his stats - one kick and four clangers. Now I know one was for OOF and two were for frees against but how did he manage four and probably the worst tally ever on the champion data stats - -18.

Torpie is a selective thing and depends on which part of the land you're from, but just to clarify for those not from my neck of the woods. Torpie or Torrie, same thing!

Well hadnt he stuffed his face with KFC and Pizza Hut the guy would be close to 100 percent by now. The way he is going his injuries will not heal until the end of the year.

He has so much natural talent that if he doesn't use it we scream foul. But let him try and use this talent to a poor result and guess what we scream foul. He jokingly states he loves to eat KFC and we scream foul (I wonder how many other players out there eat junk food. If Barry hall admitted to loving KFC how many of us would be jumping up and down at him?) He opens his soul in a media interview about his frustrations of being sidelined and not able to walk let alone train and we scream foul. He shuts up and doesn't say a word only to be perceived as a conceited little sh$t and yep once again we scream foul.

Nick is a person who is going to be loved or hated. I'd prefer we speak about his game though and not about what he eats. It really is none of our business.

He may have added a couple of kilo's but that could have more to do with not being able to actually train as much as he'd like to due to his injury restricting him. It has also been suggested on this board that he was played to his detriment in favour of getting Magic right. I don't hear him whining about that, or anyone else complaining. Not a team player my @rse.

how old is Nick Davis? Hardly a spring chicken nor a 18 year old.

Don't want to sound harsh Bam Bam as you mean well, but what you wrote is exactly the reason Nick is the way he is.

Yes keep nurturing him as a mummy's boy and watch him become one of those players with a "had potential and was talented but never really filled his maximum capacity as a footballer which is a great shame" next to their name when they retire.

Unless we actually know the player personally we the masses will never really know how fragile his state of mind is. He slightly touched on it in that interview. All of this talk could bouy him (I hope it will) but if it's repeated often enough how would it make you feel? Perhaps I'm putting too much of a personal slant to it, but being of that nature that's how I'd react. I like to try and see things from their perspective as well.

All I'm saying is that I think we need to be as responsible with our posts. Yes the Players should know better than to believe or take to heart everything written about them on a fans meassage board, but sometimes if it's said often enough you may start to believe it.

Im sure Nick is a big enough boy to cop a bit of criticism on the chin. I doubt he even cares nor reads opinions on supporters message boards anyway.

If i was doing my job half assed like he looks like he is sometimes, then i'd be expecting some criticism too.

When he plays well and looks like he is trying, then he deserves to be praised. Like the game against the tigers he was terrific, and the one earlier in the year against the lions. Saturday was bad, but everyone has a bad game - just hope he doesnt go AWOL again

I don't mind if somebody opens his "hart" to the media, but I have a problem with the fact that he didn't mention anything to his coach.
I agree with some people who are saying that Nick's behaviour is a bit childish. Like it or not Bam Bam, but that is exactly what bothers me. You don't wash your dirty laundry in public. As you said we don't know all the circumstances, but I must say that he will need to change his attitude towards the club (whatever that might be) if he still wants to be a part of it. There are 22 guys working their butts off every week, sometimes even injured, and you don't hear much whinging.
If Nick is injured and can't play, he should be dropped from the side to recover. I'm quite sure that Roos will not include him in the team if Nick is not 100%. And rightly so.
