    Interesting theory.

I would say anyone who threatens it is a moron.

I think there's a little end of season tension on this thread....I took it as just a sarcastic response to the thread.....which I can tell he has a burning dislike for Shaw/ Cloke (& understandably so), but I doubt he'd rip up his membership after all these years, for anything....same goes for anyone on this board 1 would hope....

Back to the topic at hand - weren't we pursuing Notting last year to slot in nicely to Cressa's spot? (just remember the number 8) So, maybe our interest is genuine, or he's the poor soul who's name gets chucked up to every club because he isn't part of their Fab 5 - either way, IMO he would be a good pick up & addition to team- & he's got a great knack for kicking the un-kickable goals (much like Dick Navis in that sense). He could be our next champion "forgotten Brissie player" - ala B2.

Am quite looking forward to seeing what this trade time brings our way.....

Previously known as SsYwDaNnEsY (but that became a mouthful)

Surely it is just a figure of speech. Just as I wouldnt expect that anyone actually has rocks in their head.

I point you to this thread:

            Ottens

Why would you rate McVeigh above Hadley?, I would rate Hadley as the most sought after player available.

McVeigh would bring nothing to the Swans we dont already have and what we have isnt good enough.

            I would have thought

            Hadley/Bruce
            Ottens/Notting/Bradshaw

I agree that taking childish threats seriously is silly. It's just frustrating hearing the same line all of the time.

Quite correct and I was going to bring this up. We did chace him because he was out of contract, and at first it seemed like he was interested in joining us or Richmond. However he re-signed for Brisbane and in any case the Swans weren't willing to match the Lions asking price to get him (1st Round Pick)

Still I see no reason not to chace him this season other than what it would cost us in a trade.
                    Once was, now elsewhere

Totally agree... now if they say "cut it up with a very sharp pair of scissors" I sit up and take notice. It is to thwart this very impulsive desire to do damage to ones notice of membership that the smart cookies in head office have decided to issue plastic cards

                        For those with short memories:

Ottens has already said he's not going anywhere.

In reply to previous threads - if we got Rhyce Shaw I think we should turn off the lights and lock the doors for good.

He wasn't higher in my list because we have a number of young midfielders already.

We need KP players first, ruckman then ff then CHB.

I dont really agree with this, a quality midfielder would make an immediate difference to our team. Even though Hadley is young he is all class, your correct we have plenty of youth - but no class.

I agree a KP who can play FWD and DEF should be a high priority. Ruckman - we need another ruckman but probably can afford to go for youth.

whats happening with the rumour from down south about tarrant i reckon he would be great in our present forward structure but what about the possibility of him playing a chad cornes type role across half back

Wallace has privately expressed fears about losing Ottens because of their cap pressure. He has been asked to take a significant pay-cut.
