    Life is Boring now!

This is the first year I can remember feeling so lost after the footy season has ended for the Swans.

To think that I have to wait until April to see the Swans play again ( I will be OS for 3 weeks Mar/Apr) is daunting.

I am sure there are others feeling similar to me on RWO, maybe we can use this as a group hug/councilling session.

As a Swans supporter, I pretty much feel like this every September when we fail in our quest for a premiership. When will our premiership drought end?

        I hate the off season.

I get into the cricket but it is hardly the same, generally everyone goes for the same team!

Bring on 2005 and more fantastic swans heartache, I mean games

(P.S We still have an election to fight Anni, that will keep us slightly occupied )

I felt like that for a couple of days (I actually sulked around the house all day Saturday) but as the end of the footy season coincides with the start of the warm weather, now I can turn off Fox Footy, get off the couch and get on with my life. At least until the cricket season starts.

I hate spring between End of Footy and Beginning of Cricket, Coz it is all about horse racing, which I have no interest in.

Well I guess that weed riddled garden needs some work, Oh, but then there is also the hay fever. Gee I hate spring.

I hate Spring Carnival time too, but fortunately I have lots of interest outside sport!!

The Spring Carnival is better than every round of football rolled into one, better than every final, better than any premiership. I suggest you Canadians get down here to the Carnival at some stage and experience what real racing is all about.

The Spring Carnival to us racing people is the what Panthers is to pokie players - Heaven!

                  Love it

Hate racing. Most boring thing ever. Seems to be enjoyable for people that like to bet on it, but as a sport to watch..yucky stuff!

I do enjoy the Melbourne Cup though. Even though working for Tab's head office means we are all often forced out all over the place to help drunk yobbos fill out betting tickets!.

I know how you feel Damien, during the carnival if Im i the TAB I just pretend I have no idea so nobody asks for help and then pull out a heap of tickets when I get to the counter. Other wise you are stuck in there for hours.

"Excuse me, how do I put 50cents on the favourite?"

                      Arghhhhhh.

lescygnes, no footy or hockey now. The hockey world cup games are on foxtel here starting next week. Must have been way cheaper than showing them live. Sucks, but at least I get to see Canada dominate!

I enjoy standing next to the track and watching the horses run by close up. However, that is a few seconds of enjoyment puntuated by many hours of tedium!

I am ambivalent when the footy season finishes. Towards the end of the season I am tired and sick of the pain/letdown some weeks and wish it was finished so I wont feel the pain again for a while. But the minute it finishes I am already missing it and waiting for the draft/trade, the draw, cheap airfares etc. The discovery of this site has helped a lot as It keeps me in touch. I guess the only good thing is that the weather will start to warm up.

I find cricket and racing complement perfectly.

I use my NetTab account to bet on the races and in between each race I watch the cricket. Perfect.
