I'll swap Jolly and Spriggs from Ert's list. I would like to see #14 on the paddock again and hope it is on Bevan's back.

I would love to see Bevan get #14.

Not sure about Spriggs taking Cressa's number, he would need to earn it first.

My pick as a roughy is Moore for #8. For the last 2 seasons, our 1st pick in the draft has been given a low number: McVeigh #3 & Willhoughby #7. But then again, does Jolly count as our first pick since we got him for selection 15, even if it wasnt in the actual draft?

bazza was given 1 straight away. of course the number had been vacated by stafford who was a participant in the same swap.

bevan for 14. it's always contentious to bestow a number such as this, but playing every game in a debut season and his general display of guts bode well for his future role as an instrumental player and leader. i don't think he'll wilt under the pressure either.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

i agree bevo is next in line for 14 but i would like him to back up this season before he gets it.

Spriggs does not deserve cressas number!!

I agree. Give 14 to Bevan! He displays many attributes the resemble PK. He will fill that number very well. Don't wait.

14 should be given to a young player early in their career (just as it was given to PK) not one with 3-4 years behind them.

I would kinda like to see 34 go to a local player but I don't feel strongly about this.

Ahem...I must have been in Perth when this thread started. Sorry.

                  My suggestions

                  Bevan 14
                  Moore 8
                  Jolly 16
                  Spriggs 33
                  Malceski 34 (40)

                  Cheers

has anyone deserved the great #14 jumper. If anything it should be awarded to the next captain after Stewie

The right player to receive #14 won't "deserve" it when they get it but a decade later you'll think "gee that was a great choice"

The trick, naturally, is making the right prediction.

Bevan, right now, is definitely NOT Paul Kelly. But at the same stage of his career neither was Paul Kelly.

I think it would be wrong to give #14 to an older player. To me that would detract from it's symbolism and charisma.

I think the only player on the list who looks like he could be suitable for #14 is Bevan, however I think he's maybe two years off that yet.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

You're probably right logically but I say take a punt and give it to him anyway.
