Late memberships

Well , my Seasonal Affective Disorder is just about cured .

The nasty , horrid summer is fast fading , and the joys of dark winter nights at the footy are nearly here.

Now , am I imagining things , or are the Swans mailing out the membership tickets later & later every season?
I was told they would be sent out 1st week of March and suggestd that they put this info on the website.

Definitely seems to be getting later and later. We're now less than three weeks to season start, and no sign of our 2005 membership packages yet...
Mind you, after last season's membership mailout in which the envelopes containing medallions, tickets etc were left completely unsealed from the mail house, nothing really surprises me...

We got our Melbourne memberships a couple of weeks ago. The $75 umbrellas are huge, the caps are slightly different with some white around the bottom and the medallions are even smaller.

Late memberships

Gripe time. I still havent received my 2005 Swans membership. If it doesn't arrive in today's post then I definately wont be attending the game in Newcastle. What rubbish to suggest that we just use our 2004 cards - does the club think that we keep them as souvenirs. Mine went into the bin the day I got back from Melbourne after the Semi final against St Kilda. I think its slack of the club to have taken so long to send them (and why do interstate memberships weeks ago?), and especially now that we need them to gain free entry to tomorrow's trial.

If you read the blurb from the club you would have seen that if you have neither card with you, there will be people available at the ground to verify your membership and let you in for free.

They just chuckled and said that I was probably right. I don't understand how they can run late, especially for renewing members...

I know I'd be running as fast as possible in the opposite direction....

I haven't got mine either, but I do recall an email from the membership dept in the last few days saying that they were being sent out from the 7th to the 16th (something like that anyway).

The envelope stuffing was done in the week prior to the North Sydney game - a month ago. Not good enough. We have paid up front for 3 memberships - Redbacks. So where are our memberships.

I'm pretty sure they use a commercial mailing service.

It would be nice to know what factor actually causes the delays each year. I suspect the card printing is the critical factor, but that's just a guess.

I don't think it is the card printing as the Melbourne memberships were out before Wizard Cup round 1 and they are probably printed at the same time.

Mine went into the drawer and I'm right for tomorrow. I've been a member too long to know that the Swans don't send their memberships out until just before Round 1.

I've kept all my membership cards and badges. Sometimes being a horder helps..

What difference does it make ? As long as you get it prior to Rd 1 all is fine. The club have said before they leave it as late as possible because too many idiots lose theirs before the first game causing a real @@@@fight at the membership office on Day 1
