All very well, but there is far more parking around the Junction than there is the Cross, and the Junction is more of a natural transport hub than the Cross.

As a transport solution it therefore makes much less sense.

The fact that I live 5 minutes walk away from Easts has nothing to do with it of course...

I am so impressed with the Swans office right now!.

I wanted to move to a sold out area, so I wrote a letter which included the little reminder that I have been a member since '94 and they found myself and my friends seats in that area!

        So happy with them!

One can never have two many Swans stickers, I say!

What about the clear membership wallet! It kinda freaks me out, as I keep thinking I have lost something.

Miss the red ones from years gone by. But I suppose the world can still see Barry on the membership card peering through the plastic at them all.

I have to say, do we REALLY need ANOTHER cap. I'd have loved a special members scarf instead. Like Hawthorn members get.

Maybe next year they can have members flags made? (But mae sure they are RED! ) Would look mega awesome seeing the SCG a sea of red flags after every goal. A bit like those paper Express Post "Go Swans" flags that were given out at the Collingwood match in 2003.

Catch the 355 directly to opposite Fox Studios. You only have to walk about 200 metres up to the Churchill Stand entrances on Driver Avenue.

That bus terminal with the closable doors at Bondi Junction is awesome. I have seen airport terminals worse than it (especialy in the Virgin 'shed' days).

I can just hear the announcements.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
we will now like to commence boarding for our All Stops 355 service to Marrickville Metro via Fox Studios and Newtown. Please have your Traveltens available for inspection. And insert them into the Green ticket applicator as shown by the lovely Bus Conductor Arthur (aka grizzly old bastard spying to see whether you have dunked enough times on your Travelten. ) Would pensioners kindly be seated at the bus of the bus so our lovely Sydney buses chauffeur can tilt it upon disembarking.

Sydney Buses appreciates you have a choice of methods of transport to use today. We would like to wish you a welcome home to Marrickville Moore Park Waterloo and Newtown, or a safe onward journey. Good morning."

                the thing I noticed with mine is;

we now enter through gate 'C' at the SCG, which could be the same entrance. I noticed the change from 'Bay ....' to 'Gate ...' at the live aid concert in January, so the SCG may have changed the way they do it. At Telstra we're now gate H, where as before we were gate E. The aisle and seat number are the same. Either way from P1 we still walk the same distance except now it's inside the stadium instead of around the outside.

Hubby's not going to be happy with the stickers I now have to paint the car with

Hi guys, im a swans supporter member and i recieved my membership pack last wk. I like the swans scarf, but the hats are getting too repeatitive now. The stickers weren't a good idea. They should have things like the members specials like last year where people got free tickets for the NSW V QLD ing cup cricket game, that was great. But can i ask do swans supporter members get free public transport to telstra stadium and finally when going to the after match function at the scg, i have my mebership medallion; but i want my friend to attend as well. Is there any way of my friend going to the after match function?

To the latter, you can TRY and smuggle them through the back door by going up the MA Noble Stand stairs. (But the fact that I have put this on RWO means people in high places will read it, so you can forget that ever happening, OK!

As regards your 1st point, I agree that maybe special deals with -sponsors or other sports adds value to the membership. It would be cool to say be able to rock up to a SYDNEY KINGS match for example and get $5 off the cost of a ticket just by presenting your membership card. Good cross-promotion of two sporting clubs fighting similar battles in the tough Sydney market. And as I said, added value to my Swans membership.

Other sports we could get involved with are
-NSW Cricket team (both one dayers and Pura Cup)
-Sydney Sandpipers (or are they Swifts)-useful considering we ---have nearly 50% female members.
-Sydney FC. (Say get $5 off a ticket. Or a complimentary ticket to the 1st game etc etc)

I guess things don't have to just be sports either. It would be beasty if we could say rock up at the movies or Luna Park and get say a discount.

This all may be pie in the sky. But Sydney people are highly discerning as to what they do with their free time. The more bells and whistles they get, the more attractive taking out Swabs membership is.

Have to disagree with you on one thing SF. GO THE STICKERS!!!!

Should I worry that I didnt get the afterthought letter?

Love all the stickers. Agree that its a shame the badge doesnt have a year on it. We'll all be pissed off about that if we win the premiership this year ..... actually, nah, nothing would piss me off if we won the premiership.

That's the Swifts, JF! The Sandpipers were kicked out of the comp a year ago and replaced with the Hunter Jaegers. (Wikipedia says "Jaeger is the North American name for the smaller species of the skua family of seabirds").

I do agree that extra benefits would definitely add more value to the Swans memberships. They would have to work out some sort of deal with other teams though, like the Kings etc.

I know that the club had some other extra benefits last year, like cheap accomodation and a couple of other things.. I can't seem to find the page on the website, maybe they are updating it for this year.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
