I'm pleased that the AFL NSW Supporters are wanting to work with us local Swans supporters. The Swans Social Club will only work if not only Swans people use it but ALL NSW AFL Supporters. Make the place a haven for AFL supporters in Sydney. Have other team's fans come and watch their matches on the screens there. Have Foxtel so we can see matches that you can't get on free to air in Sydney.

Jason even mentioned the big Grand Final bash they had last year. We both agreed that it would be good if we could have something held at the Aussie Rules club which included a meal etc etc. Perhaps the Swans or the club could help us getting something going on that score.

I know several RWOers wuld be very into a big Grand Final day bash. Would be a great way to wind down the season. (If of course I'm not there myself cheering the mighty Blooders on to a flag.)

Maybe we can get Jason on here as well Stoliboy?

Hi JF,

AFL Supporters Groups NSW does not yet have a website. We are hoping though to have a section on the AFL website, which Jason is currently negotiating along with some other things.

What we do have atm is a flyer with contact details for all the Supporters Groups in Sydney which we have handed out at different events i.e. AFL Footy Show last year, Swans vs Dons match at North Sydney.

We also keep in touch via e-mail.

For the Grand Final function it would be great to have a Swans contingent. The Sydney Aussie Rules Club in Kings Cross is definately an option for the event as is the Paddington RSL. I believe Jason is currently scoping some of these venues.

Another thing is keep us informed about any events that you guys are putting on. We try to support each other's events i.e. I'm going to the Sydney hawks pre-game function this weekend... they have Ian Dicker and Dermie I think Should be fun.
