I've usually got a lot of time for the Schneider, Buchanan and Bevan, but the 3 of them were fairly terrible today. They all got a decent amount of the ball, but generally wasted it. Schneider continues to take shots from the 50 when it's very unlikely that he'll score a goal, Bevan continues to try and take on opponents when it very clearly didn't work last week, and Buchanan is just a @@@@ kick (though I'll admit he's pretty good at stoppages). It is so frustrating to watch this team!

I have just arrived home from the game. All round a very depressing performance. We had only a few players who played consistently throughout the game. Our best player by a long way was Craig Bolton. Leo tried hard and Big Barry beat his man but did not hurt the Roos on the scoreboard. Maybe it is time to introduce some new blood.

By the sounds of it it was a pretty crap display of footy so I'm glad I was stuck doing something that productive that made me miss the game.

At least we could have held on to our lead, but we couldn't get that one right! :'(

Well even Laidley conceded that the Roos would have run out the game better as most of their players played the whole pre-season. The problem is though if you haven't got a midfield you have no chance. Until some skilful, pacy runners are found it's a lost cause. Premiership will come out of Port, Lions, Dees, Eagles, Cats or Saints. No other teams have the all-round equipment.

The 'Roos kicked 7.2 to our 0.4, to outscore us by 40 points in the last quarter and a half.

                Sound familiar!?!

                No excuses this time!!

They played the final qtr from last years game before the match and during the warm ups. I thought it might have been enough to stir the boys up.

I feel really depressed. It has only taken 2 rounds for me to wish the season was over. They are not a good team and probably never will be. I just wish I could accept it. Someone needs to teach them to KICK the ball and not continually handball which inevitably results in a turnover. Also I don't think the Swans would score too highly in the brains department. Nicks, Maxfield and Schneider need to be replaced. At least give us some new players to watch. We need some thing interesting to watch as their football certainly isn't.

                      One Word ---> Disgraceful

Do we have one player with any brains whatsoever?

That was one of the dumbest games of football I have seen in watching the Swannies for 20 odd years.

We played into the hands of a team who have very little, and ended up making them look like a finals side.

Despite playing poorly we led nearly all day and then folded.

North' of old would have belted us today....their rabble of today didn't even need to!

The senior group seemed to show no leadership today at all, and get rid of LRT, I am afraid I had some hopes...but he is a dead set dud.
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

I agree. They would definitely be the dumbest team by a long shot.

Maxfield's errors have been frustrating me for some time.

I don't think Nicks was the worst today but on the whole we made a lot of mistakes.

158 kicks TOTAL for the day - we need to lose the 'hang on to possession at all costs' mentality. Take a few risks and see what happens.

It is early and there is a long way to go but if I was a smallish midfielder/forward in the side I would be very worried about Jarred Moore - he will play this year.

Sorry Rob-bloods, I don't agree. The Kangas don't look like a finals side.

The other word is DUMB. How many handballs went straight to Kangas players.

Kick the bloody thing long. Not many backlines will contain a forward line consisting of Hall, Davis, O'Keefe, Jolly and O'Loughlin if he's ever fit
