Yes that's part of the problem, no use having 'names' on paper if the ball doesn't reach them. Heard Roos in his post-game conference and he seemed to be blaming the skill level of the players as opposed to the game methodology.

We'd have the ball and going right down the oval ready for a goal but we'd stuff up at the end. It was so obvious we'd screw up.Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.Comment

I was listening to our game on the internet and watching the demons bulldogs game on the tv at the same time .so I had to have the chair in between the two as every so often I would get so exasperated with the Swans that I would scream and throw things. My daughters and their step sister decided very early that it was a good time to leave the house.
In fact it was so embarrasing listening to the game I turned it off and decided that I was better off helping my daughter who has made it into a TasDance arty farty dibbdobbing type production than listening to my belovededs making a fool of themselves.

I reckon, that by the end of the next round, we will all be over our loss today. It's not as if we're going to win every game of the season. Today was a loss, and so be it because it had to come around someday!Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.Comment

What a game.
Paul Roo's tactics in the last quarter were similar to what Eade was doing in his last season with the Swans. If this keeps up we may have a new coach by years end.
When Norths were putting on the pressure in the last term we had TWO forwards (Davis in the goal square and Hall playing a kind of mid half-full forward position). There were two half forwards who immediately ran into the centre square on the tap. (Bevan and Bucky I think - i.e. two midfielders). So when (if) we won possession on the bounce there was never anyone to kick it to. The tactics have to change to give the midfielders options to kick to. How we are supposed to win with 9 - 10 midfielders on the ground? How are we supposed to kick goals with one forward and one half forward?
Nicks's mistakes, alone cost us the match.
Every time McVeigh did something good - he got taken off the field. Keep him on! Let him settle into a position.
Bevan is the most frustrating player on the team. Do you keep him for his attitude or drop him for his lack of skills and poor "game smarts".
Great to see Goodes being played on the wing in the last term - it has to be his permanent position considering how much better he looked there.
STOP wasting Kennelly. Get him upfield!! USE HIM!
Still, no need to panic, it is just the Swans of old. We always step it up against Brisbane.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

No way will we beat Brisbane. We'll be lucky to beat anyone if we play like we did yesterday. Roos' blaming the players and not his game plan is a worry. He never admits he may have made a mistake. I can see no further improvement with Roos as coach and the list we have. Maybe time for a change.---------||--ANNE--||----------Comment
