As a result of trading Shattock to Port they got two picks in last years draft which got them Pat Garner and Justin Sherman.
So even today they still benefit from the 8 free ex Fitzroy players they got and will so into the future and you can be certain that if they didn't get those 8 players they wouldn't of got the players they did.

We should have taken Terry Wallace when we had th chance. Then the Swans would be soaring. You can just see that the players have no faith in this current coach. I'll go out on a limb here and fully support FH - it's unlikely we'll win another game under this temporary coach (what's his contract 2007?) - especially against any of the real powerhouse teams like the Saints, Port or Brisbane. But trading players for low draft picks is hardly a huge benefit - anyone can do that.
The big benefits they received were C Johnson and J Brown.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
