    Darren Jolly's attitude

Something that didn't end up on TV last night but I thought was VERY important to recognise was the way the players came over to the goals where the CS was sitting. They started off doing their usual thing of coming down, clapping, but keeping a distance.

This was until Darren Jolly bolted over and started hugging and high-fiving us in the front row. He was soon followed by Jude Bolton, Amon Buchanan and Tadhg Kennelly.

The fact it was Jolly doing this of his own volition, and doing it BEFORE any other player really showed me how much he wants to be in Sydney, wants to be a part of the team and more importantly part of the club. This really was a case of actions speaking louder than words - while he has said how excited he has been about being in Sydney (and I didn't doubt this), his actions last night really showed that our trading for him will be a success.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

He looked pretty pumped in the circle singing the club song as well. Played a pretty good game in the ruck I thought.

Speaking of players' attitudes, how pumped was Kirk after the game? He must have bear-hugged every team mate before he left the ground, and then during the song he looked like a kid with a new bicycle.

His performance in keeping Power ineffective for most of the game (one great goal aside) has mostly passed under the radar but he certainly did his bit on the night.

I noticed a lot of the players were singing the song with great gusto, some more than others.

        They deserved it.

I have noticed that from the first game he played as a Swan Jolly was the first person to step in to help a team mate out if there was a bit of a dust-up. Doesn't come across like a thug wanting to get involved in a fight at all either, just willing to get involved to get someone else out of trouble. Also seems to do the selfless team things around the ground with his general off the ball movement. Very happy with him so far.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I wan't impressed with Kirks performance on Power. Power is one of my highest scorers in my dreamteam.

So therfore Kirk must of been effective, without being too damaging himself.

Krik had 16 touches (+ 8 tackles) to Powers 13 (+1 goal), would give that as a slight win to Kirk.

Darren Jolly and Sydney is love at first sight I think. He must learn the words to the song though. That can get a bit embarrassing! ha

Kirky was pumped and Crouchy was crying because of exhaustion and his oppontent got 24 touches. Jared is a bit underdone and to get through with a win must have been a massive relief. We all know how much he loves paying with his mates.

Jolly played well and fits into our structure well, it was however Ball in the ruck that got things going in the last quarter.

                Jolly trade looks the "goodes"
                Staying ahead of the game...

Which is what Old Blighty was saying for most of the game.

It was incredibly funny watching the Swannies sing the Cheer Cheer after the Brisbane win.

As the cameras were panning around the group singing, it clearly showed Jolly struggling to remember the words from "Lift that noble banner high..."!

Jolly was trying to sing something but it was not the correct words...great stuff!!

What an absolute crock ! Who cares if he runs up to supporter groups in the crowd.

He will prove to be a good trade if he plays good footy over a good period of time (which he currently is and looks a great pickup). Not because he approaches wannabes in the crowd and makes them feel important.

This is possibly the worst/most self obsessed post ive ever read on here, and there have been a few !

Mark, you have totally miss interpreted the post.

Supporters ARE a fundamental and crucial element to any footy team, no crowd= no money = no match. Ask any player and they will tell you how important a vocal and supportive group of supporters are, how they are lifted by the cheering etc.

What Jolly demonstrated was definately his embracing of the club and its supporters. I was watching on t.v and did not see Jolly approaching the crowd but good on him, excellent to see and if makes someones night and makes them come along the next week, bringing family and friends then lets embrace some more!

                            Mark, think before you post.

The original and to a certain extent this post are musings of self obsessed supporters.

Footy players value is 'THE WAY THEY PLAY FOOTBALL'
