I understand Nico, but I would prefer that the youngsters are given games based on form rather than just for youth sake.

One of the most important things a team can have is harmony, without the team will just implode. Would hate to see the fabric of the team destroyed becuase we loaded up the team for the sake of youth and did not play players who were entitled to a game on form.

You are only one step away from implosion which helps no one.

I guess Schneider is being given another few weeks - probably had a good chat with Roosy and understands what is required - I hope.

Spriggs deserves a few more weeks - he's been ok off the bench - give him a full game, if anyone is fit enough it is him.

Hate to say this and probably sounds a bit stupid, but, Goodesy is the key to this game - if he fires they cant stop him!

Hall will be swamped as will Mick.

Also congrats to Leo for his 150 - if we didn't have him ATM(at the minute) we would be in deep(er) poop.

thats where we need Schneider (or buchanon) feeding off the crumbs when the ball hits the ground.

If Hall and MOL are double teamed then that should free up a crumbing player to gather the ball at will and hopefully kick true!!

Absolutely spot on Nico. Just because someone isn't setting the reserves on fire does not mean they are not up to senior standards. If you have average quality players around you, you really can only play slightly above their level at best.

With Fosdike injured as well should see him played and be given a chance to settle in the side for the next 4 to 5 weeks.DST
Agree on Spriggs, was the definitely not the worst last week, and I would consider LRT and Schneider most fortunate to get in.

                Presumably only because

LRT - there is no other tall,
Schneider - has had his brain replaced

I myself am looking forward to Schmidt, Willoughby etc getting a run.

Forward crumbing is not really an art I understand other than to say that it doesn't seem to be Monty's natural game. Even when he scores he's usually winning his own ball on the HFF or in the 50 rather than crumbing from spillages. As noted we have terrible problems getting crumbers to the ball anywhere on the ground. Schneider seems to be great at it as long as he is in the vicinity rather than trying to get to the fall of the ball from 50 metres away. He scored so many fabulous goals in 2003 and v Essendon 2004...I hope he is given this job to do properly.

Yeh, I was thinking of a Milne type, who can kick goals on his own accord or create them by feeding off the crumbs of the big forwards. I reckon Schneider is probably the most suited to that.

There is never any bench pressure at this club.

Neither have proved they could do it last year and so far this year.
Schneider did it in 2003 but does not seem to have the desire to find the hard footy. Crumbing is not just getting lucky with off the hands possessions.

Buchanan also has trouble understanding that a goal is when you kick it between the BIG sticks.

Quite like the team. Would of put Powell on the bench instead of Schneider for the sake of having another tall. I especially like the forward line with Hall at FF.

During the game I think we will see Davis floating into the wing/centre. Mathews playing in front of the Hyphen in the backs and Kennelly moving onto the wing. Actually, I bet Nicks starts in the HB and Kennelly starts at Wing. I hope to see Spriggs and McVeigh get some decent time on the field.

                            LOL!!!

You watch the players that know how to crumb and you see them positioning themselves where the ball is most likely to fall, not just hoping it comes there way, and making sure the path to goal is clear for them!! I think it is called having a footy brain.

Maybe he thinks he is - after all they made all behind posts taller this year!

IMO you will see a lot more of McV on Saturday. The loss of Williams will not be coverd by a single player, they will rotate regularly, and who ever provides the best form, will get the more game time.

This is his opportunity to be an integral part of the engine.
