It can't be denied that McVeigh has a good eye for goal and is a good kick. He would also be able to create something for the forwards. It would get him used to the speed of AFL senior footy better than playing in the reserves. Frankly, I think he would do a better job than O'Keefe has being doing this year in that position anyway.

It's well known that Sydney exercise great imagination in the placement of players on the team sheet. With the modern game, it's entirely possible for all 18 players to be in either end of the ground, so where any particular player is named is a moot point.

jarrad moore looked far from un fit in last weeks reserves.Sure he is a bulky type but he played the game right out and finished very strong Personally i thought he was BOG for the second half.He is a Diesel type ( if only...) and reads the play .He must be close to getting a run and won't disappoint.
I also thought Schauble was looking ok but he kicks like a full back.I was surprised he wasn't considered this week.
Then again, what conclusions can you make after that pathetic oppposition.

The trouble with Benny is that you can name him where you like on the team sheet, but he still won't know where he is playing and on whom.

He may look fit and run out a reserves game but he is a long way from playing in the midfield for any length of time at AFL level.

That's not a critism of him either, he looks to have a great footy brian and skills but it's a very rare player (Judd only) who steps into league footy and can play in the guts for any extended peice of time. Let him get a head of steam up in the ressies until round 15 or so and if he pressing for selection and can be considered in our best 22 at that stage then I am all for him getting a game.

Sunquist is the player as I rate the best prospect on the list if he has no further problem with his Knee. Previous to his knee injury he was looking very comfortable in the games he did play and looked up to playing at AFL level.

Ok I'll deny it McVeigh is an ordinary kick from what Ive seen, no point playing him as HF doesnt offer anything to this position. He was drafted because he was rated as an athlete able to run in the midfield all day not for his outstanding football skills and it shows.

My understanding is that McVeigh was recruited because he was an athlete with outstanding skills.
