Eade and Wallace are both Technically and Tactically well ahead of Roos if you dont believe so you live in some delusional red and white bubble.

Miller's main value to the Dees was his success in keeping Hall quiet, not because he was creating a huge amount himself. The ball wasn't coming down to the forward line with any purpose. How would it have been a match winning move to take Hall out of the game by putting him somewhere he would have had even less impact?

A more audacious move might have been to put Hall in the ruck but he would probably have struggled against the better technique of White.

Roos did move Kennelly to a wing at one point and it had no effect.

You make it sound like it is so easy to change a game around just by swinging a few moves. I suggest it is pretty hard when your players are just not hitting targets - not just one or two of them but most of them.

You are entitled to your views on Roos vs Wallace vs Eade and me to mine. If that means I'm sitting in a red and white bubble, so be it. What Roos has achieved in 2 and a bit years of coaching is comparable to what either Eade or Wallace achieved in their same period and, personally, I'm happy with the one we've got.

It will only become compareable "IF" Roos gets us into the GF otherwise he will fade into obscurity with Bob Hammond.

Roos is an intelligent and articulate person, but I'm really worried about his performance. He seems too dogged at the moment re a few things.

They include our @@@@ty, dead end game plan, and constantly whining about not having enough talent.

We have more talent than the Kangaroos (at least comparable) and its the coach's job to get them to play to the best of their ability.

The Swans are the laughing stock of the AFL at the moment, with their style of play, and it's really hurting the development of the game in Sydney. Robert Walls has hit the nail on the head with his latest article on us.

For the first time in a long time, I don't care if I miss a home game, not because we're losing, because the footy is SO BLOODY BORING.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

Roos time as coach is looking identical to the last years Eade was coach.

He just won't drop any of his mates to the 2's at all. It's like he is scared he will make one of the boys cry. Do something useful Roos..you had soo much promise but now its de ja vu.

The game plan should be thrown out the window. Its useless but heck that?s the only game plan he knows. The one Eade left in the drawer on his way out.

I'd rather see Roosy adopt a freewheeling style as I actually believe our list is talented enough to beat most.

Playing our current game plan is a sure way to 13-16th on the table which may be good for draft picks but not much else.

Our midfield problems started when Lyon came to the club. Now their cluelessness has spread to the whole team.

Well, what you just said is my definition of being outcoached. A team effort beat another team's effort. (rather than a hot player or bad luck etc)

What a coach should be able to do is evaluate the strength and weaknesses of the team during the game and make relevant changes that exploit the weakness in the opposition, hide the weakness in your own play and play to the strengths of the team on the day. This means tactical changes, player changes, positional changes etc.

If it is one sided then unlikely to help Wil. But the game was always close so perhaps a little bit of massaging might have had some affect. But then again he probably did make some moves but the whole team was not up to it. We are not a versatile team.

I think the team needs to hit rock bottom before they get out of the slump. I agree with Luffy, it's confident that's disappeared and the amount of behinds kicked recently is the barometer.

The question is whether Melbourne was rock bottom or if it's to come later. My fear is with Willo out and no recognisable ruckman (assuming Jolly doesn't pull the rabbit out of the hat at the Tribunal) there will be an excuse for another poor performance.

Yeah - I was exceptionally disappointed in that. What happened to his philosophy of let the guys play and learn from their mistakes (which in this case was only partly McVeigh's fault).

Or more that their draft picks are performing better than ours!

How many draft picks did we get?I know we went for Jolly, then Moore then Spriggs.Comparing to some other teams that looks pathetic.
Give Roosy a break. It's only early in the season.

I'm talking about high draft picks still playing in the side.
