Ok, you've got a point. Perhaps the Carey thing was not the best example. I just liked the quote "we never said no to him".

How often do you think professional footballers are told no? What is beyond their reach? Financially, not a whole lot. Socially, not much either. Do you think any professional footballer would ever have trouble finding a date?

Maybe if things didn't come quite so easily for many, they would have a better attitude to the game.

Erin, maybe you need Charlie to take you to one of his parties or something to lighten you up a bit. What you're saying about footballers is like me saying all UNI students are obnoxious dickheads who think they know everything. It only applies to some, not all.

Jeez JF, how could you present this as an "argument"? You have a mate who saw them in a pub and now they are a team that couldn't care less?? What should they have been doing? Crying into their beers?

Sportsmen by nature are ultra-competitive people. Regardless of the dollars they may now earn (remembering that only a small proportion of AFL players earn more than the average annual salary), they went through years of sacrifice to get where they are now. Having a father who was an Olympian, I respect the level of work these people put into their work, and highly doubt 99% of people on this forum apply the same level of effort to their work. I naturally apologise to all of the Nobel laureates, CEOs and Oscar winners who may post here.

If you want proof of how much the club cares and bonds, watch the last ten minutes of the Brisbane game again. In our culture, men are rarely permitted to express their disappointment properly, so only in celebration can you see just how important the exercise really is.

Getting back to the subject!!!

I noticed on Saturday night that there is definate tension between Magic and Baz - they were glaring at each other, were getting in each others way and there seemed no way that either would pass the ball to the other (well not that I saw anyway)

Perhaps the "Leadership Group" and "The Others" isn's working as well as they originally hoped.

Its time that Schaubs & Saddington return to the seniors.

Wardy, all people have pride in their performance and when things don't go right (as what happened on Saturday night) people get frustrated.

I have great friends who I work with that I get frustrated with when the pressure is on and things are not going your way. But at the end of the day you finish work and go and have a beer and forget about it.

Where you hit problems is when issues are taken out of in house and I can see none of that present. No one has unloaded publicy about their team mates not doind this etc so there is no signs there is any problems amongst the group other than they are frustrated with their own form and that of the team despite busting a gut to change it.

No prob's, dumping was my term.

From the above I see it as nothing more than home truths and was probably the consistent message Roos has been giving them behind closed doors.

When you start getting players implicating certain players and having to break up fights between them on the track and behind closed doors I think then you are in trouble team harmony wise.
