I'm heading to New Zealand for almost 2 weeks on Monday meaning I'll miss the Essendon game. But considering that we have been playing such boring footy the last year and a half, I'm actually not that worried.
I just wanna see attractive, exciting, free-flowing, high scoring footy? Is that too much to ask???

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Freo, Melbourne match was exciting, free-flowing football today. I guess the conundrum for Roos is that if the team loses some people lose interest. Obviously boring footy is not good either but some people might settle for a boring win. At the moment it is boring and losing footy hence Demetriou's concern for a fickle market.LIFE GOES ONComment

Well, in some ways it's quite appropriate as he wants to promote AFL in NSW and our game plan/execution is doing nothing to help that.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

We have the worst game plan in the league. Freo look spectacular compared to us. Freo actually win games, even shootouts.
Unless Roos can unearth a positive way of playing by the end of this year, he has to go. We will never win with a team of taggers, and defenders. We will certainly never win a flag with this style of play.Comment

It's also his job to try and grow the game - IMHO his comments were driven by a concern that they game won't grow in Sydney regardless of results if the Swans continue to play the brand of football they've played so far this year.Originally posted by janpa
