Could not have said it better myself.

People bang on about getting a winning culture at our football club, then turn around and advocate tanking games for draft picks.

If you want to a do a Saints then go and follow them. Despite all the hoopla about their current team they still have not actually done anything yet, and with the culture they have at their club if it don't happen this year they are just as likely to implode and lose all the players they have been handed on a platter anyway.

      Pretty sickening stuff.
Just like the crap several of us copped from prospective several car thieves in blue & gold from Joondalup after the game last night. There was nearly a fight, but I had to pull Silent Lurker (AND Port1978 ) away from them, as their continually taunted us and exasperated after a torrid night, we snapped. Of course the Subi security were never to be found.

Of course not - but playing the kids to see who has potential is okay.

They probably couldn't understand what you guys were saying JF. You have to remember to put "AY" on the end of your sentences to allow the comprehension to sink in.

Perth is a city with over one million people. It is farther away from any other city with one million people than any other city in the world. Perhaps JF has just found out why.

Swans don't need to tank games - they will lose anyway. It's just that losing is more palatable if there is a reward at the end. Right or wrong it is the way the system works.

Swans don't need to tank games because (as you say) they will lose any way, but they certainly need to rebuild this team.

Just to move back to the topic of this thread: if you believe the early odds, we are very much favourites against the Bombers (Sydney 1.35
Essendon 3.10) - and also the clear favourite at that site of clear judgement: Big Footy.

That is a very Melbourne attitude to losing.

"Benefits" of finishing near the bottom
                            -Loss of members and revenue
                            -loss of sponsorship
                            -loss of media interest
-even harder to attract decent off contract players

unless we want to finish bottom for a few years and get a stack of draft picks like St Kilda there really isn't much of a reward.
Unless Roos is sacked and Footyhead is appointed we will not finish near the bottom for quite a while.

I wondered what happened to Footyheads comments and now I know.I didn't think my comments were offensive in any way.Oh well its their board and they can do what they like.

I'm guessing your post was removed also as Footyhead's was deleted and hence made your's redundant (as it was a response to his).

Barry has a pm as to the reasons for the post removal, and the process to be taken in reviewing it
