Which is tricky because no beer is sold at the SCG.
    Carlton Draught isn't beer!
Even it's makers admit that, in their ads they refer to it as being "made from beer" which is a worry because so are most of my widdles.
While generally in favour of recycling, this is one form I do not approve of.

Great then the Swans are worse than I thought. I am yet to be convinced we will ever win a Premiership with Bolton/Kirk on ball. Yeah, Bolton is getting better etc...

I'm sorry, but shouldn't that read "the LEAGUE is worse than i thought"

Can I ask a favour? Could you use more of these - - in your posts because I have no idea if you are serious or not.

First you complain about having defenders in our midfield and suggest we should replace them with B2, Tadhg and Dempster - 3 defenders. Then you criticise Kirk & Bolton for doing something that no-one else in footy has seen. In fact, the biggest criticism of B1 in partiocular is that he is actually too keen to get to the ball first and tends to dive in, head first, and then has no way of getting it out - creating a stoppage.

Kirk, quite simply, usually makes the right decision in those circumstances.

Haha! Maybe, but no. I mean the Swans are worse. If Kirk and Bolton are not really the umm "weak link" then why are we still crap? My faith in the team rested on when we fixed the on-ballers/midfielders we would be set. Now between you and what Ruckman said about the Carlton Draught... I don't know WHAT to believe.

I think he means that Kirk and Bolton are obviously playing well yet we're still ordinary, which means the rest of the team is worse than he first thought.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Bingo. Don't get me wrong though. Kirk is a legend - they should of just given him the captaincy. Bolton has been my most critized player for the past few years but he has improved and is without a doubt in our top-18 (Top 5 probably). But both, together with the mentality they seem to bring in the centre does not work. But you can not drop either of them! There is a bit of a wierd thing going on. But, maybe I should now just start blaming the forwards for us not being able to score against decent competition.

He's been a versatile player for us. Was it round two he started on the Half forward line? He did well anyway. Though, where do you get that he is the best kick in the club?

The "issue" with Bolton and Kirk is that they are not nearly as good at delivering the ball as they are at winning it. It's why neither would be classed as elite midfielders (though personally I'd put Kirk pretty near the top of the second rung).

However, I stand by my original observation that neither plays a predominantly defensive role in the current Swans line-up.

                        Wil, try this version.

Bolton and Kirk get their hands on the footy at stoppges and the stats say they get the clearances. It is the quality of clearances (scrubby kicks) and handballs often to nowhere in heavy traffic that is the problem.
