I turned up 20 minutes into the third term by which time the game was clearly won.

I have to say, though, that the final quarter and a bit was some of the least skilful, lowest intensity rubbish that I've witnessed this year. I wonder if the players get more credits for goal assists than they do for scoring goals because some of the attempts by players to set up team mates when they themselves were already in good goal scoring position was utterly bewildering and I don't think a single one came off.

I'll give the players the benefit of the doubt and assume that they were all bored witless by this point in the game but, steady Schaubs aside, no-one looked AFL quality during that 40 minutes of play.

Can anyone enlighten me to the reason for the free against Nicks in the first term? The signal seemed to be that he was holding the guernsey of Robbins but given that Robbins had the ball it had me scratching my head.

I saw the whole game.

Ball looked quite sluggish towards the end of the game - came off with 10 to go I think and looked very proppy.
Erikessen looked good in the ruck again today.

Schneider kicked 6.2 - got hammered in one tackle and ended up with a bandage round his head. Played very well - between midfield and forward - yet the players marking him were so loose that they gave him a 2 metre start on the lead. He seems to have regained his confidence! Did some really trademark flashy stuff - strong runs through the middle - but also did the hard yards too. Tackled well and chased.

Schauble played really well - kicked 2 and was very solid in both defense and going forward. One thing that really suprised me was his pace! He blistered them through the middle off a standing start!

Mark Powell took some very very strong marks and presented well all game. Got injured in the third quater - not quite sure what the injury was though. Kicked 4 and has been our best forward for the past 3 games.

Grundy was busy all game - did the workmen-like stuff - went in hard and won the ball. Nothing flashy - kicked 2 though.

Who is number 34? He did some great runs though the middle to set up Powell. Played well.

Willougby was outstanding again! Did a few ordinary things but his ability to get the ball and hit a target on the chest is amazing! Ran hard, tackled well and has fantastic vision! How long do you reckon till he's ready for seniors?

2nd quater was interesting. The Hawks really tested them! Bridged the gap to about 20 points (which in the reserves is as close as its ever been in any game I've seen so far) and really stepped up. It was good to see the reserves reply with 6 quick goals and put their foot back down on the accelerator.

If anyone can tell me what the free was against Micky in the last quarter after getting the better of a marking contest, I would love to know

On the telly it clearly showed Micky was holding the jumper. I am going for the replay though because I suspect his opponent had a handful of jumper also.

That's Campbell.

If he could turn into a player it would be a big plus as he has the size to play as a key backman.

Glad to hear that there was something worth watching for the first 3/4 of the game.

LRT took a contested mark!!!! His great Uncle or whatever relation it was of his who delivered me would have been very proud. To me this was the highlight of the day. I was looking for the anti LRT group to hold up signs saying" unbelievable" but you let me down.
It's not lovechild status but there was a smidgeon more improvement this week(again). Don't tell me Roos knows what he's doing. That would be a frightening concept.

Leo v Gehrig last year was 1-1. Leo won the H&A game (mainly by suprise), and Gehrig won the final.

I'd prefer schuable on Gehrig. As much to free Leo up, as a better match for Gehrig strength.

Ahhh ok I did see Micky holding the jumper, but no worse then any other contested mark situation, I mean you can have three players literally hanging off Hall and nothing

Dunno who is going to get dropped for Willo - Moore should be given another week in my opinion so McVeigh would be the logical choice.

He is frustrating - got some ability but fumbles a hell of a lot.

His biggest weakness is he cant break tackles IMO. Which perhaps leads him to be hesitant in gaining possession in hot contests which makes him appear to fumble.

Bevan would have to be the small man most likely to be sent to the 2nd's. With Nicks back, we should be covered in small defenders if willo takes his place.

I thought McVeigh was good today and did a lote more than Moore. I don't know think he should be dropped before Moore to make way for Williams.

Realistically and from a mother's point of view I would hate it if Williams was playing next week. Not that I am his mother though this is Tasmania, but honestly look at Crouch. How could you expect Williams to be back at this stage. I would worry if a child of mine was trying to get back as quickly as he is. His debts must be huge.

I was thinking that too - small forwards have to kick goals and he is a terrible kick.

Still, he's not alone on that - our disposal skills continue to be rather ordinary.
