On the MOL free, the replay on TV does make the hold of the guernsey look obvious, though the close-up replay only shows part of the incident and it looks as if both were holding on. If the ump only saw what is on that snippet then it was a correct free against Magic.

Did anyone over the Brewongle side get a good look at the one in the first quarter which was relayed from centre wing (on the O'Reilly side) right down to the Dogs forward 50 (more than a kick away from where the ball was)? I think it might have been against Jude, to Cooney, but not entirely sure. And the signal was also for a hold, I think.

If it is the one I'm thinking of, I assumed it was for late contact, but seemed a bit soft. The contact seemed to be just as he got the kick away and they both went to ground.

The one against Bolton was to Cross I think. They were having a bit of a wrestle and then Bolton shoved him around the throat - James was standing right next to them - free kick every time.

Really? I must admit I am also a recent Craig Bolton Bandwagon rider, and am willing to admit it. He's a solid player, consistently performing week in and week out. Plus he's a really, really nice bloke...

I thought he was excellent on Sunday, particularly in the last quarter. Was able to read the ball, gather it cleanly, and produce effective clearances to advantage. Was nice to see.

Sorry this is late, just reading mondays paper.

                  F50 frees = 1
                  Mid Frees = 11
                  D50 Frees = 4
