When? I don't remember any reports of him being in the best, and as I live in Melbourne that's all I have to base my reserves opinions on.
In 2002 it was his first year at the club, did he really dominate??
2003 he played mostly AFL.
2004 he had many injuries, but played some AFL.
2005 he hasn't played in Canberra.

His arguments in defence of LRT are hollow and based on the assumption that the great blond uncoordinated bumbler will discover his inner footballer and become a champ. Having realsied that this is not much of an argument he has descended to trolling, stirring Bloods for a reaction day after day.
He's becoming a better troll than Footyhead - just casually slipping below the radar, yet writing tripe and then substantiating with so much straw - must live near the yellow brick road!!
Interesting too that I note that his ad hominem are "justified" but others are "playing the man"!

LRT looks pretty hot down in Canberra too.
If LRT was dominating there'd be no argument.
As it is we are comparing a player in LRT who has very limited Aussie Rules exposure, and is still in the very early stages of an experiment. He shows only minimal improvement every week, and is a long way from being a dominant CHB in the mold of Leppitsch, Cornes or even Rivers.
On the other hand we have a young man who has probably played Aussie Rules his whole life, played in the TAC Cup with one of the best teams in that comp, played a few years in one of the top sides in a country league against grown men, and won honours in doing that. He has been picked up by an AFL team now, and is obviously highly regarded by the club.
The comparison is fair, and all I'm saying is give Luke a go at it. If we end up waiting till next year, thats fine by me, as long as Luke is used effectively elsewhere in the meantime. In my mind the policy of persisting with LRT is not going to get us the results we want - a dominant CHB.

So when did he play well there?
He played there in 2002 and for matches here and there in 2003 (between senior appearances) and 2004 (in between injuries).
I saw a reasonable amount of reserves football in 2003 and 2004 (and again this year) and its fair to say that LRT almost always stood out in that company.
Clearly it doesn't translate easily into AFL form but he at ACTAFL level he regularly dominated.

I'm not a troll.
Lets not forget I'm defending the status quo. (ie leave LRT at CHB, and leave Vogels up forward). Play them both.
And I have Roos and the match committee on my side.
Hardly, troll-like behavoir.

As much as you stand out in RWO, sanecow .
I cant believe why we are so obsessive with LRT. My opinion is that we need to reform the midget fleet first most. Cleaning out all of those midgets who have neither footy smart nor skills to hurt the opposition should be the main focal point for the club in the off-season to me.
Let's just keep Vogels where he has been performing for the last THREE games. If he gets really good in that position there will be plenty of time to move him all over the park.
