By the stats in the paper Beven had 8 desposals last week and 7 clangers.
I think Dempster is unlucky to be out of the side instead of him.

I think its as simple as this: who will play on Milne? Dempster cant and Bevan can. With Crouch and Matthews already with their hands full controlling the Saints midfielders, it leaves us one small defender short.

Sean will be back for the Carlton game IMO, and Bevan better play a blinder if he doesn't want to be one of the ones cut. Even then he would be lucky.

My money is on 3 head-high tackles by Bevan on Milne (or someone else).
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I reckon Dempster could do it - He played on Davey. What about Nicks on Milne. Bevan isn't required in the team.

But if LRT is going to improve (and I still say it is a pretty big "if") it will only happen in the seniors. The season is not on the line, he is not losing us games, he may as well be left there at this stage. Schauble on the other hand probably has not got much development left. He is less likely to get injured in the 2's, will keep a bit of match fitness up, and should be strong and raring to go when injuries and fatigue take their toll on others (both ours and theirs) as the business end approaches. He certainly wont go backwards playing there. I reckon the backs in the 2's would be learning a fair bit from he as well, which can only be a good thing. Well that's how I'm choosing to make sense of it. Wonder if stell will travel to Wagga Wagga this week to see his beloved run 'round.
Do whatever it takes to convince yourself the swans have chosen LRT over Schauble 2 weeks in a row, and look like a longer term policy.

I strongly suggest you deal with your LRT obsession and build a suitably robust bridge...and then get over it.

                BTW, I told you so.

Saddo wasnt very good last weekend. Although he got to a few contests, looked way out of form.

Saying that, I do think he adds some balance to the team. As someone mentioned a while ago our players are either short or tall, so a medium sized utility should be quite valuable.
Interesting selection. I half expect by game day, one of the 'dropped' will play.

It usually gets published in the game previews on www.realfooty.com.au on Friday.

Schneider had better prove the selectors right. And Buchanan had better prove their continued faith (and kick some bloody goals too).

As for not selecting Schauble but selecting LRT

He wasn't bad, although there was one game in LRT's "career" (over a year ago) where he actually had more possessions than Saddo did last week.

                                Saddo out / LRT stays?

                                Dempster out?

                                Schneider in?
