Poor old NNW - he never did understand much, that's why I don't listen to him. I, on the other hand, have a good grasp of football.

There is no way they could have dropped LRT after last weeks game, irrespective of previous form. It was never going to happen no matter how much you wish for it.
You pay attention less than NNW...

Certainly I wouldn't want him standing Riewolt in his current state.
Not sure if I'd want him against Riewoldt in any state.
On the other hand I think maybe MCveigh may finally be beginning to establish himself in the firsts, very early days and about time but he seemed readier to demand the ball last week.
I thought he looked a lot better last game. Didn't seem to be overtrying to produce the magical disposal.

        WRT to LRT:
Match Committee opinion = barry's opinion

        Possibly:
NMWBloods opinion = Tony Shaws opinion

So the match committee has been calling you and asking for advice? Excellent, premiership here we come...

I found it really interesting that someone is talking about Saddo should be taking the place of LRT. If that is the case the where should Saddo play? As a key defender . Is that ironical with all of the critics we have when Saddo was playing there?

Ironic and just a little tragic

                Last week I stated:
                a) that the controversy re Schauble's omission was a moot point as "London to a brick" he'd be back this week
                b) that Sean Dempster was playing sensational football.

Just call me the kiss of death.

I hate to weigh into the endless (and kind of boring) LRT controversy, but to have every single last one of Saddo, Schauble and Dempster running around in the twos while Hyphen holds down our CHB position is what they called "a brave decision, Minister" in Yes, Minister. And if the team lines up as picked, to have Bevan, Schneider and Buchanan all sitting next to each other on the pine isn't exactly keeping a range of options up yr sleeve. If the call comes out from the coach's box, 'We need a desperate, in and under, opportunistic small forward out there now!', what are they going to do? Play paper, rock, scissors to work out who gets to go on?

But hey, I'm not the dude getting paid to win us football games-- so, as usual, whether it's a good or a bad decision ultimately rests on the scoreline at the end of Satdy night.

If he has got a bad attitude then we definitely don't need him in the firsts. He should be given a clip around the ears and played in the 2's till he comes round.

That would be because the call Roos is expecting to make will be that or more likely: "OK so X is not working out holding Jones / Milne / Dal Santo / Clarke / Ball / Voss, so lets try Y... and then Z"

                        That's a big job for X.

When playing Contract Bridge, an overbid contract can be perceived as foolhardy if it is defeated and intrepid if it makes. This decision would be seen in a similar light - the decision would be judged on RWO by the results.
