Yes but didn't you watch the final against Saint KFC last year as well?

But that matter not, Leo has been playing as a FB for the whole season thus far (except for a couple of Schauble cameos). I can deal with Dempster moving into the attacking half back role but he didn't play tonight. C. Bolt doesn't seem to give us that same run off Half Back.

Did you see the St Kilda final last year? Gehrig carved up Barry there as well. The round 11 game was one out of the hat. Should never have been tried again.

Yeah, we really struggled against Port.

          It just wont work.
Ah cmon. So is Port's formula easier to apply? Or Brisbane's? Sure doesn't seem that way so far this year.

Is St Kilda really that much better than us considering their massive talent? The ladder doesn't say so.

Geelong and Richmond were playing the GF according to the papers during the week, and WCE had already won it the week before... now?

I think our game plan is just fine. And Roos has worked hard to remove the vulnerability that 2003 showed up. But in 2005 our players have gone walkabout with their skills and application.

On a more positive note - who actually tipped the Swans tonight?? I did, so I feel pissed off they lost. Those that didn't should relax, and remember that as good 2003 was, we still had shocking losses that year to Hawthorn (twice), Freo and Collingwood.

Exactly. I was and remain dumbfounded. Frankly I think Roosy should be given a white-board and made to do lines until he remembers

"I will play Schauble when he is fit"

Coupla hundred times outta do it
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Up until tonight the record was 50/50. Roos probably gambled that the Semi was the one out of the hat. And in truth at least half of Gehrig's goals tonight came from contentious frees.

                  He kicked 7

Leo never looked like bothering him.

It looked terrible 2 mins in

Up until this week hasn't Gehrig had terrible form?

No Wallsy is right. We should kick it long to the leading forward... if we could reliably hit them.

There were plenty of pointless inside 50s tonight from our guys. Thats what will piss Roos off more than anything else. And Walls is too stupid to admit it.

Now just imagine you had Ball, Dal Santo, Jones, Clarke, or Hayes to kick it in there. No wonder Reiwoldt gets so many marks. Its kind of hard to get them when someone with a lesser kick chucks one on the boot.

The problem tonight Barry was we had no game plan. Oh sorry, it must have been to play the entire 18 in the back half for most of the game.

Why would Micky and Barry Hall be up on the wing for half a game or more. Something is rotten in Sydney, and it aint the city and it's people, only the AFL team. You should have heard the after match callers on 3AW. 10,000 supporters in Melbourne is whistling into the wind.

Then why play all your worst skilled players in the midfield?

                        You give yourself no chance

Exactly. I am yet to understand having Bevan play in the midfield. I like him. Keep him in the team. But get him as far away from the ball as possible.

Goodes had some nice flashes as a rover...

Well Judd, Ball, Cousins and West are back in the team next week, so dont stress.

Seriously, who were you expecting in there??

At one centre bounce we had Mathews, McVeigh and Buchanan. Um, can anyone see anything wrong with that mix?

Half the night Mathews spent arguing with other players about whether he should have been in there. Actually nearly at every centre bounce.

He was in, out, in, out - was just waiting to get pinged for too many in the square.

Yes I can. There was no Judd, Ball, Cousins or West dammit! They should get off the pine and do their bit when Bolton, Kirk and Williams get injured or need a breather.
