So The Hyphen needs to play like an All-Australian or be out of the team? Christ, what standards you have!

Didn't say he shut him down. He worked bloody hard under heavy pressure something I can't say for the majority of the side.

And before you answer, think that Reiwoldt was the first decent player he has played on and if he had kicked str8, what the score would have been.

To be fair, most of those would have come in the last quarter when the swans were "all-out attack".... if there is such a thing.

Sorry, I thought we wanted players who won contests, not the general euphenism used on here - "worked hard"

Talking about dropping defenders or forwards, and promoting others is really just shuffling the deck chairs while we continue with this abimsal, unacountable, un-attacking midfield.

Fingers crossed that Willo can have an impact when he finally makes it back on the park.

                  I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Thats fairly spot on. Its sad that Roos has had a few years to get a replacement for Williams and has not been able to. Without him and *GASP* Davis in midfield we are adrift without a skipper. Even Maxfield is looking better at this point.

What is your definition of winning contests? I dont think we have more than 5 players in that team who could win contests with any consistency.

LRT was playing on one of the best forwards in the competition (i believe). A few 50/50 type decisions went against him, and yeah Riewoldt got away from him at times - but who would you suggest could have done the job better?
He managed to spoil, and he was using his body well in the one one situation. Schauble could do both these things also, but reiwoldt would get awy from Schauble even more than LRT due to fitness and speed.

I dont think quoting stats is relevant, its all relative - you make out like his posessions/marks/kicks/goals etc. was outstanding - it wasnt. Swans players were being beaten all over the ground.
Why dont you call Leo Barry a retard? he didnt have a good game by any means, Gehrig kicked 6 or 7, took many a mark too.
Its easier for you to blame LRT, sorry - but take a look at the bigger picture man! Thats like blaming the goalie for every soccer defeat in history. pfft.

To be fair, we've done as best we could. Remember we had to spend all our draft energy getting our ruck division back up to speed pretty much ever since we offloaded stafford. Thats finally settled now.
J.Bolton, Kirk, Williams is not that shabby. Not up to St Kildas by any means, but at least middle of the road.

You are right. J.Bolton, Kirk, Williams is not that shabby. But: When you have a player hitting their 30's its time to find a replacement, Swans have had plenty of time. Also: "not that shabby" is not good enough. "not that shabby" = making the final 8 i.e. not good enough.

its a disgrace of a thread because of the title, totally uncalled for

FFS call him a dud or a useless bastard but this is goin 2 far

and its not his fault if he is told to play on riewoldt, he tried his best and is obviously not good enough at the moment.

just ease up on the poor bugger...........
