He certainly does not have an athlete's body (although I think recruiters are starting to get over that nonsense and look for footballers again) so I don't reckon it's a total negative.
As to his aerobic capacity, I couldn't agree more and it concerned me that after his poor 2004 season he showed up to pre-season this year overweight (didn't Mott get dumped for that?).
He probably has speed off the mark. But it is a bit like a sprinting racehorse. To win it must be able to do it at both ends of a race.
I notice Schneider's lack of speed when has to chase.

Oh I'm sure the speed is still there, the desire to use it....well...

Watching White Line Fever the other evening they had Malthouse on and he was talking about Phil Matera when he was coaching WCE. He said Matera was struggling to find the ball and had his place in the team under question and was told that another big job was pressure on the ball carrier coming out of defence.

He then mentioned Davey, who might end up with say 6 possessions and you think "he hasn't had much of a game", and then you look across further and see 6 tackles and think "he's had a great game" knowing the type of pressure Davey puts on players running out of defence.

Schneider could learn alot watching a tape of Aaron Davey without the ball.

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Your not a fan are you. I reckon thats the 10th post in a row I have read of yours where you are nothing but critical about the same people..
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

Even taking into account his injuries, Schneider hasn't really done a lot in the last season to impress.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

As soon as they get rid of the bounce and Schneids kicks a few speckys he'll be back on the bandwagon...

Gotta take catches to kick speckys. Then the bloody referees will probably intervene.

I love it when the linesmen chuck the ball back in after the players kick for touch.
