Desperately disappointed to see Bevan go down. We have a special connection to him being a NSWelshman. He has had his chances though, let's hope it's just a blip on his early career.

Would much rather have seen Moore than Spriggs, the boy has skill and needs to be encouraged to use it in the seniors.

Surely this week is Buchanans last chance for a while, how come he gets so many weeks and Schneids gets one???? Can't pick that one.

      Onya Malceski...the new Croation Sensation!
I'll get the Lets Give it up for Malceski thread ready.

      Dempster is stiff IMO.

Schneider and Saddington being dropped are really more a case of "I am a lame arse and don't know where to play you" than the actual players performing poorly.**

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Hope Malceski gets a decent run (he's not emergency again is he?) - I've been waiting for him to debut for two years now.

With it being a Sat game and 4 ins for 4 outs, I'd imagine not.

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I have to agree with the sentiments here regarding Schneider. Obvioulsy blitz's in the Ressies so playing him there every second week is not allowing him to do more than have goal kicking practice. Keep him in the seniors for a few weeks, dump Monty, and let him find that touch we know he is capable of.
I was watching the 2003 highlights DVD, the 2005 version would probably just bet lite, and the Schneiderman is quite talented. Great working at Halls feet, just what we need right now isn't it?
Just give him a few weeks to work it out Roosy, pleeeeaaase.

                    See ya bevo!! About time.

Litte Ricky Schnides has gone backwards but yeah i would rather see him given the role that amon is playing atm and amon back to the ressies. We have seen what Amon has to offer and we have seen what little ricky has to offer now lets decide who we keep and who we don't Mr Roos.

I'm pretty satisfied with that, though I'm with others in that I think Schneider deserved another week at least. Spriggs was BOG for the reserves last week (from the Swans' own report) but there is little point in bringing in the BOG each week and then replacing him the following week with that week's reserves BOG.

I'm willing to wager that either Schneider or Nicks will be BOG this week. Where does that leave the selection policy?

According to the AFL website, here is how the team will line up...

                          SYDNEY
                          B: Schauble, Barry, C.Bolton
                          HB: Mathews, Roberts-Thomson, Kennelly
                          C: McVeigh, Ablett, Crouch
                          HF: O?Keefe, Goodes, Buchanan
                          F: Davis, Hall, O?Loughlin
                          FOLL: Jolly, Kirk, J.Bolton
                          I/C: Ball, Malceski, Spriggs, Vogels

                          * Interesting that both McVeigh and Crouch have been named on the wing.
                          * The foward line looks strong, lets just hope the ball gets down there more than 29 times.
                          * Looks a good balanced interchange bench.

                          Any other thoughts?
                          Cheers,
                          Matt

Hey, at least there's incentive to play well in the reserves

but I think that if someone is promoted to the seniors, they should be told that they will be given 2 weeks minimum, so that there is not that immense pressure to perform or be chopped after one game (in which inevitably they will only get 5 minutes a quarter )

I'd go further and say 3. Also get told if you get dropped you are out for at least 3 too, unless someone gets injured.
