Perhaps the scoring system needs to be adjusted so there isn't such a jump from the conversion of 'behinds' into 'goals' although I'm well aware that there will be quite 'unaccurate' scores if this were the case.

There have been ten examples this season where a player has had 10+ tackles - five of which have come in the last two rounds. There have been eight examples of a player kicking 8+ goals.
I agree that the tackles scoring should be changed. I'll probably make it so 10-11 gets you 4 goals, 12-13 gets you 5, and 14+ gets you 6. Under that system, we would have had seven with 4 goals and three with 5 goals.Paul Montgomery, co-founder of .

The other tough part abt the comp is the priorty draft picks. It is good to get first choice if your team is struggling, but there is not a lot of talent left for the coaches to choose from. And we only have 14 teams, If we had 16 that would be 34 less players to choose from.
But I can't see how this can be changed, unless they get to choose a player from another teams bench??Comment

I actually thought it was going to work like that, so that might be an okay idea IMO.
Only one priority pick from a team each week.Comment

Just stumbled upon the game preview feature. Pretty cool, think the prediction for my game this weekend is pretty fair as well.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

You'd have to allow a couple of players to be put off limits though. If you have a star player who's been out for a short time with an injury or suspension, it's hardly fair that someone else can come and steal them.
And I'm not sure how anyone can be accused of "hoarding" players given the draft system. We all had the same chances to pick players before the game began.
I think features like the PP are more relevant where the game is being played over the whole season. As it is, given we started so far into the season, the form line of most players was pretty well established and it was unlikely new players would emerge from nowhere.Comment

Interesting ideas about picking from other teams' lists, but I'm afraid that would be far too easy to abuse in practice. Several other coaches might gang up on a particular team and take all his bench players, which would lead to bad blood. PPs in our system are not about penalising coaches who made good decisions in the draft, they are about giving a second chance to those who made poor decisions.
liz's point about PPs being more worthwhile earlier in the season is valid, and I don't think there's a whole lot wrong with them. Even with 16 teams, there will always be players worth picking up during the season. Take Brent Guerra, he has done nothing all season but he bobs up this week with a bunch of points. Or Philip Read, he's hardly been sighted and the last two weeks he's scored 5.0 from tackles.Paul Montgomery, co-founder of .

Lineup for this week's game is unchanged, but I've made a few changes to my bench:
Brought in Brad Fisher (Carl) for Brett Voss (St K), Graham Johncock (Adel) for the injured Andrew Embley (WCE) and dumped Rory Hilton (Rich) for Cam Mooney (Geel).
Still a bit of value IMHO in some of the available players.
What changes to their lineup have others made?
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Dumped Ackland who is up against White, for French.
Dumped Bruce because he has been disappointing for the rejuventated Lekkas.Comment

Called up Riewoldt and Ryan Griffen for i can't remember who because i've changed it so many times. Not that it will make much difference anway because i'm the kiss of death. Those poor buggers unfortunate enough to be in my team should be paying me to drop them before they find themselves either right out of form or with a season ending injury.
Reckon Ben Cousins can win the Brownlow? Watch me stop him.Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.Comment
