Except I desperately need another midfielder!!

Deledio for Milburn? Come on... he's young and buzzy.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

LOL - my backs are the strength of my team! Won't be swapping them!

The forwards are good, but inconsistent.

The ruck and midfield are generally mixed. Damn Sam Mitchell!!

I imagine that, assuming the scoring stays pretty much the same, big stat collecting backmen will be the hot ticket for next season's draft. I was foolish enough to go for honest toilers, I needed to go for Kornes!

True, but there are a few top scoring players just sitting on benches doing nothing - eg: James Bartel, Heath Scotland, Gary Ablett Jr, Heath Black, Chris Tarrant, Anthony Koutoufides, Brent Stanton.

I've got five midfielders on my bench. Trade you for some backs.

Isn't it called 'depth'? With such a small on-field team you need some back-up in case someone goes down injured. And the scoring methodology means that some players will score under 10 for a couple of weeks, and then score 20+ out of the blue (or 50+ in the case of Bartel a couple of weeks ago, Jude for me last week).

What's the go with trading now that all but four teams are out of the competition?

It's not really depth when they never get a run.

Also, you don't really know when a player will score particularly well, so moving out good players onto the bench is not something that will be done a lot.

I missed the point of the game and lost interest early to have the penny drop just last week that the reserves should be worth as little as possible to get the most expensive ball getters available out on the field. Duh. Also, I have been playing injured players all season because I never logged in after about game 2 and could care less about injuries to teams other than the Swans *gasp*. Watch for a late season resurgence.

Methinks that belongs in the OTHER fantasy footy thread - this one is about the comp Scott set up on fanfooty.com.au

                            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
