I saw LRT get a hitout, whys that not there?

Anyway, LRT's clangers gave the cats two shots at goal. They got 1.1 (so only 5 points short of the maximum) - hardly game defining.
Anyone have stats for points scored against Leo Barry or Kennelly when giving away free kicks inside 50?

I agree with you on this point.

For me the only stat of The Hyphen's game that needs immediate improving are Marks. He should be getting more contested Marks to be a more dominant CHB. Though he is already 3/4 of the way there as he can at least get his hands on the ball fairly alright (the other 1/4 is actually hanging on to the damn thing).

With Leo, C. Bolton, Kennelly with him in the backline who really cares how many possessions he gets?

When was the last time, Schauble played in the CHB position? Seriously I cannot remember.

Younger players have the tendency to fade off toward the end of the season. Their bodies and minds are simply not mature enough to maintain the performance for the whole season. This is the reason I do not mind to see younger players who have played substantially throughout the season to be rested for more mature bodies. However I dont know if Schauble is match-fit enough for games yet. He has been out for too long. One match in the reserve might not be enough for him to recover the require match sharpness.

Having said that, I completely disagree with the views that LRT experiment has failed. It has been a great success IMHO. His defensive skills have improved immeasurably and getting much finer with time. He has shown that he could measure up to some of the better forwards in the comp despite all of his defficiencies. If he keeps improving, I have no doubt that he will be a very good Key Defender for us for many years to come.

On Vogels, I think jury is still out on him. However, from his limited gametime, I have not yet seen any outstanding attribute which sets him apart from an average KPP yet.

I know his option to chip to an impossible advantage resulted directly to a goal, but I will say LRT should never have been the option in the first place.

The kick to LRT was barely 15 and definitely not to a better position. The kick from full-back 10 meters to the right of the point post on the round SCG is a real pain in the ar#e, even for experienced customers.

Tiger ran great all night but he's been known to cough up goals and on Saturday night spent more time in opposition backs than Plough spends in tanning beds. Leo gave one away directly too. They were all errors.

But why are you so lenient towards LRT's MANY deficiencies but dont offer the same leniency (or excuses) for Vogels? Your argument is inconsistent.

As for Schauble, IMO he should be played at FB and Barry moved to CHB where he belongs.

Deficiencies are different from strengths. LRT's strengths are well-known while Vogels's are not. This is why I have different views on LRT and Vogels.

What a waste! Return him to the flank {post edited to appease cruising nit-pickers} Let CrazyLeo roam free, allow him to go for marks, be the third man up. Let him run in circles, break tackles, run into/out of/back into trouble. He's unique so lets not waste him in any KPP.

Please don't let's have Leo following in a long and sad tradition of shortarse swan centre half backs. What happens during the game's another thing but planning to play a little guy on a big guy does nothing for the little guys longevity or creativity.

In case you hadnt noticed, they have been playing Leo at FB. He'll get more room to roam at CHB. He's also not exactly a shortarse at 184cm.

Erm that depends on your point of view, mine is probably less close to the ground than yours and I say he is (especially for a KPP).

I think Barry is too small at 184cm for a KPP and is best suited to HBF.
