Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

And although their becoming a rarer breed, the likes of Neitz and Lynch (the Eagle) haven't got any quicker.

I can't wait for this game!! Expect a few Eagles supporters to come along for this match!

Judd apparently has a crook back and was "rumoured" to be dropped before the game on the weekend...well we saw what became of that rumour!!

I actually hope they don't have any players suspended because I would hate to hear them use that as an excuse when we beat them!

If Cox and Gardy are out, we're not looking at a fair contest. If Fletcher only cops a fine for wrestling, he can be a tough one that should be watched.

          Some interesting match-ups this weekend...

Oh yes, poor buggers - w/o Cox & gardiner, they'll just have to rely on the best midfield in the competition.

Suspect we should save sympathy for Eagles for some time late on Sunday evening.

We can always hope for the dodgy inflight prawn meal on the flight over!!! And that they are all so unwell they will have to forfeit - Ok I will wake up now!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I'm hoping our midfield turns up on the day.

Don't know why but i am really optimistic about our chances this weekend. I'm feeling the same as leading up to Saints last year (the H&A game not the Finals :P)

On Talking Footy tonight, Gerard Healy said that ticket sales for this week's match were "Going through the roof!".

I hope he's right...would love to get 40,000 at the SCG rocking!

West Coast seem to draw a decent crowd over here - seems like there's a fair few expat Sandgropers who have moved East, and with the Eagles doing well will want to come out to see their team.

                    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Yeah -really looking forward to the buildup this week. Here's hoping the Swans get some good press in light of their recent good form.

The thing with the crowd isn't the tickets - its the actually members turning up to the game. Against geelong the general admission area on the hill was nearly full!

And it was said that all the members guest passes for the Geelong match were sold out yet the MA Noble and Ladies stands stand was no where near full.

Who will take Matera.Could be Crouch.Schnieder or maybe they will bring Bevan back in.
With Nicks not an option, I don't see Roos has much choice other than to assign the task to Crouch. I'm sure he'd love to have Crouch's run available through the midfield but I can't see either Bevan or Schneider getting a FB-type role. Tagging Davey is one thing, but Matera is just as capable as playing out of the goal square as a proper FP-type role and would be far far too strong for Schneider on the lead and overhead.

If he were a few more games into his comeback, Fixter might be an option but it would be very risky to bring him in after only a couple of games back in the reserves.

Blame this on the two record setting Cats games last century. The SCG etc members kicked up such a stink at being unable to get in that the Swans numbers have ever since been restricted to preset level just in case all those members actually decide to turn up.

The big mistake the club made (IMHO, and many others) was to convert to entire concourse into reserved seating thus limiting the walk-up sale options for big games.

Not sure the club bean counters would agree ! they would take guaranteed income anyday.

I am not aware of any game (at SCG) over the last 3/4 years where you could not rock up on the day and get a concourse seat ?

True - although last week there was certainly no General Admission tickets available. A few friends of mine purchased seats in the Brewongle concourse (after I couldn't get a members pass a week before the game). The only alternative was up in grandstand at $55+ a pop.

I sat in the Members Reserve area like usual - and though it was fuller, there was still plenty of seats.

I think the SCG as a seating venue needs a bit of a rethink. The resloping work completed to the concourses was an improvement - but the trust really needs to think about some new grandstands on the eastern side of the ground. After seeing the TD/Gabba recently - the viewing is fantastic - it would be good to see a few more seats like this at the SCG.
