The resloping they did to the concourses was an improvement - but they really need to think about some new grandstands on the eastern side of the ground. After seeing the TD/Gabba recently - the viewing is fantastic - it would be good to see a fewmore seats like this at the SCG.

I have heard there is talk of replacing the Doug Walters stand with an extension to the Bill O'Reilly. I agree that they should add more seating, but they get so few big events in there these days that it probably is tough to argue feasibility.

i think things are going along well for us at the moment. im looking fwd to the game this week. i think that if the eagles played the lions up here at the gabba it might have been a different result. maybe this trip over the nullabor will wreck the west coast train. historically they are pretty bad at the scg

While the Bloods continue to bring home the bacon it's a very tough draw. Winning these last two games has helped our cause immensely but there is still a lot of work to do. Beating both or either of WC and Adelaide away will require their best efforts.

We have done well against Brisbane in recent years but they are pretty explosive side. This one is very tough as well. Agreed - if we don't beat Hawthorn we shouldn't be playing finals.

That leaves North and Essendon - two danger games. North have won the last two against us and are a bloody nuisance side not to be under-estimated like we tend to do when we lose to them. We should beat Essendon on paper but we always find a way to have an off day when we meet them in Melbourne. In fact we haven't beaten them in Melbourne since 1989 at Windy Hill. Now there's a depressing stat.

We've got a way to go yet but it sure is promising.

That does it. If Qantas have another sale soon that covers that weekend, I'm coming down to Melbourne for that game. Surely its time for a win.

Though I prefer to travel to TS - the SCG is a much better venue for the moderate crowds. I would just like the facilities there to be a little better than they are.

Our record against the Bombers is poor - and they have had some upset wins in the past against a favoured travelling Swans team late in the season.

Lets just get past West Coast - a win will push the Swans into genuine premiership contenders. A loss will equate us to the number makers.

I believe that was primarily due to the rugby. My mates, who sit in the O'Reilly, were all watching the Wabblies instead of the Swans. Go figure.

For all people who intend on coming down to Melbourne for vs Essendon, you will need to buy reserved seats as Essendon have some big reserved area they are using or something. Too confusing but I don't what you to miss out.

Thanks for the info, BonBon - might be coming down to Melbourne that weekend myself. Not too fussed about where I sit as long as it's not surrounded by red and black! Hopefully I'll be able to move to an area with more Swans supporters nearby. Anyone know if this is possible at TD with all the reserved seating?

For Sunday I think the GA area will probably be full again - as for actual crowd, maybe a bit less than the St Kilda game last year? 34,000 would be great.

The Swans have been slipping quietly under the radar this season. Not a lot of attention has been paid to us so far, although Inside Football did run a 2-page spread on the Swans a couple of weeks ago.

If we do beat the Eagles, it would have the impact of a stealth bomber appearing out of nowhere and blowing the headquarters of cherished opinion to bits. The Eagles have beaten everybody else in the top eight this season, but if we win then we would be a genuine threat to their chances should we meet them on the last Saturday in September. Of course, we would have to beat the Eagles or Adelaide in the finals at some point to make the Grand Final, preferably in the first week in an away final.
