Maybe play the match at half-time instead? At least people will be in the ground to watch their former heros.
Yeah, would hate to miss a toilet paper banner so I could see some champions I watched play again...

The thing is NMW, that is what 70% of the SCG audience will indeed be doing.

The matches are OK if they actually DO have former players running around again. Even if it does get rather tedious seeing Humphrey Bear and this musical note thing running around every time they have these games.

If people turned up, pre-match entertainment would be more than worthwhile. But considering that people are still sipping a red wine at Fox Studios whilst it is on, why do they really even bother? Last week they had some people playing golf out on the ground. What were they supposed to be doing? And why were they there?

And bring back the original Swannettes. They'd all be in their late 30's by now!

Always interested to see blokes I remember running around in the SANFL prior to coming to Sydney. Henwood had 3 seasons in Adelaide and 3 in the WAFL before that. He was an enforcer there as well as at the SCG. A classic footy journeymen. Did he not go down to Melb. with the Dees to finish up????

Cant understand why Dale Lewis isnt going to be out there for another run! I'm sure he would be popular.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I suppose you could make that same criticism about the reserves game as well. However some people can't get enough of the Swans and show up to see the reserves and enjoy it and we'll watch the oldies too, so there!

By all means stuff the celebrities! Stuff the golf! but this is Mark Bayes, Andrew Dunkley, Tony Morwood, etal!
As for the banner, why don't you show both sides to the whole ground before the game like the oposition cheer squads do? I find it hard to empathise with you situation when I never see the results of your work.

Actually I remember my dad pointing out his heroes to me in just such a game 30 odd years ago when I was a kid, it 's all about getting in touch with the history of this club. Something Swans marketing seem incapable of.
In any case being a "fat has been reliving their glory days" is a lot better than being an acerbic never was reviling someone else's glory days!

Sorry if I seem a little heated but you seem to have hit a particularly sensative nerve there.

                                Thats a pretty good average!
