I think you have to apply a bit more logic to this scenario:
Firstly, what are St Kilda after should they not be able to afford the big fella beyond 2005? They have a very balanced team at the moment, with the only question mark being on their Ruck stocks (perhaps). So they are going to want Jolly and several picks.
Secondly, from the trading club's perspective, who wants out of Sydney and back to Melbourne. So if we are talking about Darren Jolly, does he want to get back to Melbourne? Is St Kilda attractive to him given they have Blake and Ackland? He's sitting pretty as the No 1 Ruck in Sydney, living his dream and getting better as a player.
I can't see us upsetting the team balance because I haven't heard and rumblings that players want out of the club.
As I said above, Brisbane is the more likely target.
