    heritage round

is there any news as to the jumper that we will be wearing in this years heritage round??

i would love to see the white body, red sash return for one match, after all we did win 2 premierships whilst wearing it

as we are playing brisvegas i doubt that they will be wearing the all red with smfc monogram jumper as a majority of the brisvegas/fitzroy jumpers are mostly red or marroon

I agree bring back the Sash for this game rather than go with the Red Vee for the Third year in a row. We have a long history full of many different jumpers so we shouldn't cop out each year and goe with the same one.

A nod towards our most success jumper is the right way to go this year (We did wear the Red Sash to both our first two premierships before changing to the Red Vee soon before the 33 premiership.
    Once was, now elsewhere

No, I like the Red V. It should be kept at the forefront of our plans... so that when alternative jumpers become a reality, it is the logical choice.

Isn't heritage round on round 19? That means we play the Bombers? Can anyone confirm?

I like the centenary jumper, with two vertical panels, but would be happy with any of the three mentioned.

Red and white are such wonderful colours that we could wear just about anything and it would still look good.

If we're wearing the red sash, we should go all the way with the heritage and have a few players running around with the sash going the wrong way!

Not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere on here, but will be the Red V for the heritage round against the Brions

For all your jumpers needs go to footyjumpers.com -
a must for all footy fans.

The Swans one hasn't been updated yet but I am led to believe they will be using the same top as prior years.

The email from the Melbourne office today said it is the same jumper as last year and they will be on sale this weekend for $100.

And Cruiser - I think they should bring back the striped socks permanently!

A couple of weeks ago I wrote to the Melbourne office and asked if the club would consider playing in the Red V down in Melbourne next year in one selected game (at the 'G") if the Heritage game was again played in Sydney. I suggested that it would be a good marketing tool to try and convert over some of those old South Melbourne supporters who follow the results and come and watch us every so often. The G would be good as they can just rock up and sit down stairs as opposed to the Dome.

I beleive my e-mail was forwarded onto Sydney for discussion when Tony was next in town.

As for the hooped socks, I love them and would have no issue with us playing in them in all games in Melbourne with the Red V

I also suggested that Round 22 this year maybe a time to bring out the Red V and somehow use it to promote the grandstand rescue issue at the same time. They could have a walk from the old stand to the "G" and play in the old jumper.
